Chapter 23 Lola

━━━━━━━━☆★☆━━━━━━━━

The loosers split up according to Mike's explanation. After walking through the Derry streets, Eleanor finally arrives in front of her apartment. She runs her hand through the house name plate that is replaced from 'Holden' to 'Ripsom' now. Ripsom? As Betty Ripsom?

Arguing with herself again and again if she should ring the bell or not, she presses the door bell.

A small kid opens the door and her eyes widen at the supermodel's sight. "E-eleanor?!"

"Hey." Eleanor waves at her with a smile.

"Honey, who's at the door?!" A woman appears behind, who looks a little older than Eleanor. She looks at the blonde taking a close look, before she smiles as if she recognises her. "Eleanor Holden, right?"

"Yeah." She nods.

"Please, come in." The woman invites her in with a big smile, giving her the space to walk in.

"Thank you." Eleanor walks in looking around.

"What brought you here?" The woman asks as she closes the door.

"I used to live here." Shs states. "I'm sorry about questioning this. But, are you related to Betty Rip-"

"I'm her elder sister." She cuts her off. "Celine Ripson."

"I'm sorry. I don't remember you well."

"I'm one of Gretta's close friends. I helped her to Bully students at school including Beverly. I stopped all that after Betty's incident though."

Eleanor walks into her new middle school, looking around.

A tall boy with dark hair walks to the new girl with three boys following him. His appearance screams before him that he's not a totally good person to become a friend.

She instantly remembers her neighbor, Mrs. Lowry's little son telling her about the rumours of Henry Bowers and his worst bullying stories. She shivers knowing something bad is ahead her.

"Why are you all alone, beautiful?" The leader of the gang asks her as he approaches her. "No friends?"

Eleanor looks up at him slowly, not knowing if she should run away or face him. "Today's my first day."

"Oh. That's great. Let me introduce to you. I'm Henry Bowers." He smirks at her and gestures at his gang. "These are my friends Belch, Vic, and Patrick."

"If you don't have friends, join us. I can guarantee you that you will enjoy being with us every second." Henry adds as his friends snicker at his words and other students are passing by looking at the poor girl caught by the Bowers this time.

"Thank you for the offer. But I think I'll pass. It's true that I'm new here. But I heard the dirty work you and your shit of a friends doing. And guess what? I don't have any psychological problem to join your crappy gang." She says in much confidence even though her brain repeats to shut up without waving at problems and turns to walk away.

But Henry grabs her arm, preventing her from leaving and leans into her ear as she struggles to get away his grip. "Enjoy your first day until it last long, Eleanor. You have a long way to go in Derry's new life."

He smirks at her, before freeing her hand and leaving with his gang.

After the last class Eleanor packs her bag and walks out of the class slowly as she mentally blames her father for not letting her take the home schooling.
