Chapter 9 Creepy House

━━━━━━━━☆★☆━━━━━━━━

The group arrives at the house as Bill is about to go in.

"Bill you can't go in there! This is crazy!" Beverly shouts when they all let go of their bicycles and step into the ghost house ground.

"Look, you don't have to come in with me." Bill pauses, taking a look at every single one standing in front of him. "But what happens when another Georgie goes missing? Or another Betty? Or another Ed Corcoran? Or one of us? Are you just gonna pretend it isn't happening like everyone else in this town? Because I can't. I go home, all I see is that Georgie isn't there. His clothes, his toys, his stupid stuffed animals, but... he isn't. Do walking into this house for me, it's easier than walking into my own house."

"Wow." Richie mutters to himself.

"What?"

"He didn't shutter once." Richie says as they begin to follow Bill.

"Wait." Stanley says, gaining everyone's attention to him. "Um, shouldn't we have some people keep watch? You know, just in case something bad happens?"

"Who w-w-wants to stay out here?" Bill asks and everyone, except the two girls raise their hands.

"Fuck." Richie curses.

After drawing straws, Bill, Eddie, Richie and Eleanor decide to enter the house as the result of gaining short straws. Bill opens the door, which creaks, making the blonde cringe.

"I can't believe I pulled out the short straw." Richie shakes his head in disbelief. "You guys are lucky we weren't measuring dicks."

"Shut up, Richie." Eleanor grumbles. "You're disgusting."

Richie flashes a grin at the blonde. "Can't help, blonde. Get use to this if you want to be friends with this trash mouth."

"Boy, I thought we're already friends. My bad." She rolls her eyes with a dramatic hair flip and Richie opens his mouth to tell something back, but Eddie cuts him off.

"I can smell it."

Unpleasant smell begins to fill Eleanor's nostrils, making her cover her nose with her hand.

"Don't breath through your mouth." Richie says to Eddie.

"How come?"

"Because then you're eating it." Richie says, making Eddie gag in disgust as he takes his inhaler out of his fanny pack and takes a deep breath of it.

"Shut up, Richie." Eleanor glares at Richie this time, making him shrug and walk past her towards a spider web filled corner. Struggling a little bit, he takes out a paper out of it. He breathes heavily as he reads it silently through his glasses. Curiously, Eleanor raises an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation of the paper.

"What?" Bill asks as the blonde walks to Richie and peek into the paper. Her eyes widen as she witnesses Richie's details on it. And it is not just a detail paper. It is a missing paper.

"It... it says that I'm missing." Richie's voice is shaking.

"You're not m-missing, Richie." Bill assures.

"Police department, city of Derry. That's my shirt. That's my hair." He panics.

"Calm down. It is not real, Richie." Bill reasons as he tries to get the missing paper from him as Richie denies.

"That's my face. That's my name. That's my age! That's todays date. It says it. What the fuck! Am I missing? Am I going to go missing?!" Richie begins to scream still in anxiety.

Bill grabs the miss paper forcefully from Richie and crumples it before throwing it to the other corner. "L-look at me, Richie. Look at me. That isn't real. It's playing tricks on you."

"Hello?"

They all share a look as we hear a voice of a girl and deciding to follow the voice, they alight the staircase.

"Help me! Please!" The voice gasps.

As they make it to the second floor, they meet a hallway, which is leading to a room to the corner where they find Betty Ripsom. She's laying on the floor crying.

"Betty?" Bill calls out.

"Ripsom?"

She looks up at them, but suddenly something pulls her further into the room making her let out an ear piercing scream.

They slowly move forward to the room as the blonde cling into Bill's arm.

"She was just here. Where did she go?"

"Guys!" Eddie yells, making them notice that Eddie is no longer with them.

"Eddie!"

They all run to stop the closing door, but it's too late. It full closed, trapping Eddie on the other side alone.

"Eddie, open the door!" Bill yells turning the doorknob.

"Eddie! What's going on?!" Eleanor shouts, holding her sweating forehead with concern. "Oh my god!"

Looking around, Richie notices something in a room to his left, and walks closer to get a better look.

"Richie, no!" Eleanor yells seeing him entering the room.

"Richie!" Bill and the blonde rush to the closing door with Richie inside the room.

"Guys, come on. Open the door!" Richie yells from the other side.

"Open the door!" Bill bangs into the door, turning the doorknob.

"I can't!"

"Richie, what's going on?"

Nothing comes other than silence from the other side, causing the two teenagers to panic.

"Bill, do something!"

"I'm trying!"

Suddenly they hear Richie screaming and at the same time, Bill somehow opens the door, pulling Richie out of the room.

Richie tries to catch his breath. "Let's get out of here."
