The Five Souls - The Beginning

chapter 27: Il save you!

shade slowly turned his face toward me and squeezed the syringe when he went to take a step the figure that bumped into Jessica grabbed her and Adrian's arm. in the foggy drunk state I was in, it appeared the blue glow that was around the guy only intensified. when i looked at the figure the face seemed not human. i stumbled back a few inches then the figure yelled at me.

"run. i cant hold them all night. humans are so stupid." 

I stumbled up and started to run. but not in any direction specifically. when I was about a mile away I stopped to take a breath. there was a crash about 100 feet in front of me behind a dumpster and a grunt. then a blue glow started to iminate behind the dumpster. 

"Hello?" I yelled. when there was no response back I slowly stepped forward. I bent down at the dumpster edge and after taking 3 deep breaths I braced myself and looked around the edge of the dumpster to see....a homeless man. the only thing is, for a homeless man his eyes seemed to glow. 

As I gave him the look down I noticed he was holding his stomach. there appeared to be blood pouring from the wound. but it wasn't red. it was this fluorescent clear liquid that appeared to change colors. 

"Hello. Do you need help? I can take you to the hospital?" I asked trying to think of what to do to help this strange being.

looking up he said in a raspy voice "thank god they didn't get you."

"They? wait..." I said as realization hit me.

"you're the guy that grabbed Jessica and Adrian."

"yes," he responded. it was at that moment I realized he didn't open his mouth.

I think he could tell cause he put his hand up as though to say don't worry.

"I'm trying to not use as much of this body function. it will minimize the healing process so il communicate via telepathy." 

"Are you an alien?" I asked. dumb question I know but I had to ask.

"god you humans are all the same," he said rolling his eyes.

"first it's Jack then his friend Ben. it's like you humans don't know that other living organisms  outside your solar system exist"

"We don't," I said defensively

"Ya it's sad," he said 

"hey, buddy, listen just cause we're not as advanced..." I started to say but was rudely interrupted by the alien. who knew aliens were so rude?

"whatever just shut up. I need your help. "

"Fine, what do you need?" realizing that I should probably just go with whatever he says.

"for your other half to merge." the alien said

"What are you talking about?" I said confusion clearly laced in my voice.

"give me your hand," he said

I gave him my hand and as soon as he touched my skin I was falling. i screamed and it seemed to echo in my mind. i realized that's what was exactly happening. somehow this thing took me into my mind's eye. I realized I wasn't falling. I was floating in then I looked up.

if you ever have seen the movie Get Out it was like that except I was floating. I saw the light come in from two slots above me. 

"hey, alien thing. did you eat me?" I said

"oh my gosh, what do you think I am? A xenomorph?" the voice came from behind me and I jumped.

"shoot don't do that please."
