You grow up thinking you goin' to be great. You might actually make a difference. Change the world. Then, you are hit by the bus of emotions. The root of all evil. The things that drive us. It could be good, but it also can be bad, and when it's bad, you become addicted to drugs, to sex, to the void that says you can't make it no matter how hard you try.

But in that dark void, you can change it. You can put on the goggles of the night. Become The dark seer and try to bring the light with happiness. That's right. A perfectly timed smile can make all the difference, even if you don't feel it.

So when the boss had me get rid of the "trash," as he called it, I put on a smile, and that seemed to cheer the boss up. He has a smile with a slight raising of the left side of the smile.

"You know what we do if the trash gets out, right?" The boss said scarily. But even though he said it scarily, he didn't mean it. It lifted his feelings up when he talked that way. His words were mostly empty. The key word being mostly. I don't think the head in the trash knew that before he became without a body.

"So, who was the unlucky sap?" I asked the boss.

"None of your damn business. now leave me." Yelled the boss. Now, that was the boss getting annoyed.

"of course, sir," I said quickly. Speedwalking out the door.

In my rush to walk out, I didn't notice Mr. Shade and bumped right into him, dropping the bag. Looking at the head, all I saw was the black hair. It landed on the face side down. Realizing I might have messed up, I turned slowly towards Shade. He was staring at me, annoyance on his face. I tend to do that.

"Well, pick it up before someone sees it. But first, here's a bandana." Shade's mechanical, chalky voice came, handing me a bandana.

"oh, course." I tied the bandana around my head and fell to the floor, frantically reaching for the head. "schwing," the sound of a blade sliding out.

"Please, no," I pleaded. he put the blade right next to my ear.

" you better watch yourself. If I didn't need you alive, I would end you." he cracked right by my ear.

"Yes, sir," I mumbled under my breath. I grabbed the head, threw it into the bag, and securely tied it, making sure there would be absolutely no way of the head rolling out.

I shuffled up and was rounding the corner when I nearly ran into Doctor Frances, causing her to spill her cup of coffee all over herself.

"ah, hot, hot, hot."

"Miss Frances, I am so sorry. I'm such a cluts. Please forgive me," I said, pulling off my shirt, as it was the least I could do to help her.

She took a deep inhale and bit her lip. Then she shook her head as though to snap out of it.

"No, Devonta. You're mighty fine. I mean, I'm mighty fine with you, I mean. You know what, don't worry about it. I have some work to get to," Franses said, flustered and blushing.

" alright well, Miss Frances you be safe now. Have a great evening in the lab" I said with a heartwarming smile. not being able to help myself I silently laughed as I started thinking. She is smart, beautiful, and intelligent she has hazel eyes, light skin, with a big booty so big it will make you cry like cutting onions.

I was so caught up in looking at her that I forgot to look away from her when she was in front of the lab doors. She looked over at me, and a lock of hair fell in front of her face. For a moment, she shimmered and glowed. Then she looked at me, winked, and stepped through the door.

"not a chance." I actually jumped, as you guessed it. Adrian spoke from behind me.

"How did you..."

"Please, you were so intensely drooling over the lab nerd that a bowling ball could roll past, and you wouldn't even notice. Speaking of bowling balls, that might just be what you have for a brain."
