Chapter 8: The good, the bad and that time of the month

Right now the most impossible thing is happening. It might be the apocalypse upon us or maybe it's a Christmas miracle when it's June. Nope it's just me, Orah and Waverley actually hanging out and getting along.

We were sitting in the living room with warm water bottles, a bottle of painkillers and a tray full of chocolates, popcorn, burgers, jelly tots and nachos, watching TV.

"What are you guys doing? " asked Cal when he and Astrid entered the danger zone.
"Did you not see the sign on the door? " asked Orah with annoyance clear in her attitude.
"No Orah I think they can barely read otherwise they wouldn't have come here." said Lya acting worse then her usual irritating self.

"Get out before I kill you with a jelly tots!" I said throwing Astrid with a potato chip.
"Dude what are you guys doing in here?" asked Carter with Ron next to them.
They stared at them like they were crazy which they were.

If it wasn't for all these damn hormones I probably would've felt bad for them, but if that was the case I wouldn't be hanging out with Waverley.

"It's a free country and it's my house I can go where I want. " said Astrid taking a seat on the couch across from us.
"Hey Ash, I wouldn't do that if I were you. " warned Ron.
"Yeah, it's not a smart move dude. " said Carter.
"Oh yeah, I'm not gonna move. "

Then the tears started.
"He doesn't *sniff sniff* want to move!!! " said Orah through the tears.
The boys looked absolutely petrified as all three girls broke down crying.
"I know *sniff sniff* and he doesn't even know what we're going through. " said Lya blowing her nose loudly.
I was just sitting there crying into my pillow trying stop myself.

"Okay, okay we're sorry! What can we do to make you stop crying? " said Cal in a complete panic.
"Well could you maybe give me a back rub. " said Lya still sniffing.

"Um... Well... " said Cal hesitantly, but he got cut off by Lya's sobbing.
"He just rejected me! " said Lya.
All three of us started crying again and I hugged Lya and Orah while our sobbing increased in intensity.
"No, no, no, no, no I didn't mean it like that... " he tried, but once again he was interrupted.
"OMG you did not just say no to her! " shrieked Orah.

One thing I hate about periods is the moodswings. I could see Carter trying to get Cal to shut up before he does something stupid.
I tried to bite it down, but the words left my mouth anyway.
"You know maybe if you guys were nicer to us we wouldn't be so moody right now. "

"The reason you're moody is because you guys are on your period. " mumbled Ron softly.
It wasn't his intention for us to hear him, but unfortunately for him we did.
I threw him with a pillow while Orah took another chocolate.
"I think that's enough of that for today. " said Astrid slowly taking the chocolate from her hands. "So you're calling me fat now?! " shrieked Orah.
"No I'm just saying that your gymnastics teacher are going to kill me if I let you eat that many chocolates. "
"So you are! "shrieked Orah in defense

For some reason I found this very funny and burst out laughing.
Cal gave Lya the back rub while I laughed.
"Hey kids... What's going on over here? " said mom suspiciously when she saw us.

"Nothing much just watching some TV. " I said shrugging like I didn't just cry a few seconds ago.
Uncle Lennon entered the room with thousands of shopping bags looking like he could literally fall to the ground in exhaustion.
"Why don't I believe you? " asked mom suspiciously. "Because you have trust issues. " I retorted.

"She didn't mean that mom. " said Ron with a nervous laugh.
He gave me a pointed look that obviously meant "shut the fuck up". But did I listen?
"Actually I did. "
Uncle Lennon's eyes widened because he knew what was coming.
"How dare you say that to the woman who gave birth to you?! " shrieked mom.

Even though the boys looked petrified this wasn't something new to us girls. We always overreact and fight with each other only to cry afterwards. It's like when you're drunk. When they say something they shouldn't you can't really blame them because they're not in the right state of mind.

It's like when it's that time of the month you're filter malfunctions for five days!
"Oh Lord why did their schedules have to overlap? " whispered Uncle Lennon before dragging my mom into the kitchen.

Cal continued to give Lya a back rub and it was pretty clear that she was enjoying herself.
I sighed loudly for no apparent reason and turned towards Astrid.
"So have you been practising? " I asked trying to find a sitting position that wouldn't make me feel like I'm dying in my lower back.
"Oh so now you want to talk to me?" challenged Astrid.
"You already saw what I can do and you already know I always have my dagger on me. Do you really want to push me when I'm unstable? " I said and he backed down knowing very well that he was defeated.
"What have you been practising? " asked Carter while trying to get Orah off his lap.
I don't even want to know why she was on his lap in the first place. All that I knew was that Ron was looking at them with a smug smile on his face.
"Lana has been teaching me how to fight. "
I felt my pulse quicken at the nickname. Urggh! Why should my emotions be so crewed up that I want to kiss the douche?!
"Wait you actually told him about... " said Carter trailing off knowing that not everybody knew about my secret.
"Yeah why don't we show them that flip I showed you. "
"No! I don't feel like crashing to the ground right now. "
I felt my eyes watering again.
"Please? " I asked.
I could see the panic in Astrid's eyes as he realized that another crying episode was coming if he didn't do something.
"You know what, maybe Carter can come with us for the next lesson Saturday." he tried.

I just shrugged and took a nacho covered in oily cheese. I'm not usually someone for oily food unless it's chips, but for these five days I'll make a exception.
"Um... Guys I need your help!" said Cal.
Lya was fast asleep long backwards making it impossible for him to move while she slept.
"What did you do to her?!" shrieked Orah dropping her chocolate bar and rushing to Lya.
"Nothing I just rubbed her back. "
"Shit! " cursed Carter and rushed over to his unconscious sister.
"She's sensitive in her neck. You probably pushed her in a pressure point and she passed out. " explained Carter trying to get his sister to sit up.
"Well she's going to be pissed when she wakes up. "
Shut up Ron!" said all five of us simultaneously while Ron laughed at us.

Did ya miss me?

You probably haven't, but I'm just going to imagine you guys were extremely excited to see me. The quote up there was my inspiration for this chapter. And it's true a girl acts according to how you treat her... And which of the month it is. For all you girls who can relate comment! Did you like it or did you dislike it?
