Hello.

Yelping in surprise, the shock of the faint voice in the back of Anya's mind sent her tumbling to the floor - literally. Sat opposite her, on the other side of the kitchen table, Apollo gave her a strange look, but made no move to help her to her feet. Groaning, she pushed herself off the ground, sitting back in her seat, a look of confusion on her face.

How clumsy.

This time, Anya spoke out loud, "What the-?"

Apollo looked up from his notes, a puzzled from etched onto his face as he dropped his pen onto the table. "Are you okay?" Absentmindedly, the girl shrugged her shoulders, staring out of the kitchen window where she could see the other wolves training. Hercules and Ares were sparring, the larger man clearly having an advantage against the lean, younger boy.

Hello?

Anya let out an exasperated sigh, "Do you hear voices?" She asked, turning to look at the light haired male who stared at her blankly. "It keeps talking to me," She whispered, leaning closer to him, her eyes wide. Apollo frowned, unsure of what to say to her as he quickly sent a warning to Zeus.

It's me.

"Who?!"

Apollo jumped in his seat as she abruptly rose from hers, looking around the kitchen as if someone was hiding behind a cupboard. Hercules entered the house through the back door, his gaze flickering from his future Luna, to his cousin who rose an eyebrow, mouthing, 'wolf'. Hercules nodded his head in understanding, taking Anya's place at the table as she walked over to the door, small features screwed up into a frown, a pale hand reaching to touch the door handle, only for the door to open to reveal a neutral looking Zeus. Taking in the amused looks on the faces of his brother and cousin, his eyes narrowed before he looked towards his distressed mate. He turned towards her, a calloused hand taking a hold of her thin wrist, tugging her gently towards him.

"Zeus, I-"

"It's okay. It's normal. It's your wolf; she's finally woken." He watched her as a relieved look washed over her features, a sigh escaping her pink lips, her tongue flickering to wet her bottom one as she nodded. "It takes a bit of getting used to, but you must remember that while she's a part of you, she's also her own individual," Zeus warned her. Anya nodded her head. "Her emotions will be more heightened than your own, but that's okay, you'll learn to control it." He removed his grasp from her wrist, his hand moving down to link his fingers with hers. "Come on, let's go for a walk." He tugged her towards the backdoor, letting her pass through first, pausing to glare at Hercules and Apollo who grinned back at him, before firmly shutting the door behind him.

Grateful for the silence in her mind, Anya visibly relaxed, leaning into the touch of her mate as he placed an arm around her. "It's happening so quickly," She murmured. Zeus remained silent, the thought of her illness making his wolf uncomfortable as they walked past the training grounds and towards the gardens. Her long hair billowed in the slight breeze that enclosed their bodies, her shivering form leaning closer to his.

Mate. Mate. Mate.

Zeus noticed the frown that appeared on her face, squeezing her shoulder slightly before removing his hand from her body. "What is it saying?" He waited for her answer, his eyes scanning the premises as they came across an iron fence, the black paint chipping slightly. Small hands opening the latch, cold shivers ran up and down her body as Anya tugged her cardigan closer to her body.

"It keeps saying 'mate'," She finally answered.

They entered the gardens, the spring flowers already blooming. Zeus watched as her eyes looked around her continuously, taking in her surroundings. Inside, her wolf pushed at the surface, the sudden urge to be free washing over her body. Zeus noticed the signs; the moment her wolf spoke to her was the start of her physical transformation. Leading the way, he walked until they had reached the back of the gardens, a large field before them. This is where she would shift.
