For the next few days, Anya slept. Her wolf was restless, but Anya was unable to tell day from night. She felt numb, and even though Artemis and Helios had come in to visit her, she'd sent them away each time. Even Apollo had attempted to talk to her.

There had been news that Zeus was on his way home, but Anya couldn't bring herself to feel excited. She wanted nothing more than to just disappear into the ground and never return. She hadn't heard from Hercules; something which she was grateful for.

She shivered under the covers, her naked body only covered by a thin sheet of cotton, her eyes opening for the first time in two days. She winced at the brightness of the morning light, her eyebrows scrunching into a frown as she closed her eyes again, welcoming the darkness. She felt her stomach growl, a soft groan escaping her lips as her long fingers pressed against her belly in an attempt to silence it.

Sighing, she rolled over to lie on her back, her eyes opening to stare up at the ceiling. She blinked, her eyes slowly adjusting to the morning light of the room. Her wolf was awake, but she remained silent in the back of Anya's mind, both feeling worn out, not wanting to face the music when their mate arrived.

Would he even notice? Anya asked her wolf, eventually breaking their silence.

The wolf hesitated, before finally answering; of course.

Anya shivered, this time not from the coldness her body was feeling. She actually feared for Hercules' life.

Her wolf growled at her from the back of her mind. You shouldn't pity him.

I don't, Anya replied, her voice emotionless as she continued to stare at the ceiling. She suddenly felt sick, her naked body lurching forward as her fingers grasped the edge of the bin, hurriedly bringing it to her face as she emptied the contents of her stomach. After she was done, she wiped the back of her hand across her mouth, placing the bin back on the floor.

"Oh my god, what happened to you!?"

Anya froze, her small frame shivering as she turned to see Artemis standing in the doorway, a look of horror on her face. The strawberry blonde haired girl looked over Anya's body, the sheet having fallen from her shoulders to reveal her naked upper half. Her ribs were lined with blue and purple bruises, scratch marks stretching from her left collarbone to her abdomen. Artemis' eyes moved down to see the pool of dried blood on the sheets, her already wide eyes widening even more.

"Jesus Christ, Anya. What the hell!?" She rushed forward to sit beside the smaller girl, pulling Anya in for a hug. The white haired girl flinched, before eventually relaxing into Artemis' hold. "Anya, what happened?"

Anya was unable to speak, the words dying in her mouth.

Artemis looked down at the bed, a frown on her face at the sight of the blood. "Did you...?" She paused, looking back at Anya. "Did you do this to yourself?" She whispered, Anya's head turning to look at her coldly.

"No!" She snapped, her anger instantly disappearing as she peered at Artemis. "I'm sorry..." She whispered, her hands reaching down to pull the sheet over her body. Her eyes looked towards the window, sighing as she blinked slowly.

Artemis got up from the bed, Anya flashing her a worried glance. "Don't worry," Artemis reassured her. "I'm just going to get you some fresh clothes," She smiled, Anya nodding her head slowly as she pulled the sheets tighter around her, Artemis moving towards the door.
