A clouded sky and desolate mind

At a distance I plead

I pray for the day

I can awake again

I told him to slow down

Now I'm alone in the cold

There are diamonds in my eyes

As glass shards pierce my thighs

I never though blood could freeze

While my veins course with fury

Never deal with diamonds

If you don't know the price you'll pay

There's ice on the interstate

Bliss throughout the backroads

Broken hearts and glass shards in the neighborhood

I pray for the day

I can see them again

I knew I was right

And now I'm alone

Death on Diamond Street

Is anything but rich

So until then

Old friends

Please meet me

Again

By the roadside.
