Write down my name

Tell me what you think

Talk about me secretly

Because I think there's something within

I can't describe it

I'm unsure of it

But I'm sure I feel it

There's something about me, right?

You asked me my name

I wrote it down

Simply for where credit is due

But I wonder if there's more about you asking

Tell me what you think

This is what I have to say

So now it's your turn

When pencil hits the paper

Pen runs out  of ink

When will it be my turn

To be thought of by you?

It's all so short-lived

And I just want a moment in your eyes

As you're writing about me

Do you write more like me

When you're alone?

Writing down my name

Giving me what's mine

Talking about me in the background

A moment in your eyes

As they glance down to the paper

I'll be hanging around

Do those letters mean something to you

Or am I just another name

On this list?

Tell me what you think

Keep on writing

Writing about me

What you think about

When your eyes meet me

Meet mine.
