I paced the living room floor. A habit I had whenever I was nervous. Pacing helped me calm down a little. With me being on the verge of tears I was hoping it'd work just the same as it did for nervousness.

I've been up here for about 10 minutes. Finally starting to somewhat calm down.

"Hey Riley." Nate's voice made me jump. Then quickly turn to face him.

I manage to get scared way too much.

"Hey." I choked out.

"Are you ok?" He asked walking closer to me.

"Getting there."

"I'm sorry. This wasn't what I meant to happen. I could've done something better to avoid them seeing you."

"Nate stop. Don't apologize for this. Seriously. It's cool I promise you."

"You sure?"

"I'm sure. I'm fine with them knowing about me being here. The only reason why I'm like this is because I just don't want to remember anything from back at Reighmound. I couldn't sit there and explain to them, my old shitty life. Not yet at least."

"Hey, things are better now. So just relax and clear your mind of those thoughts. When you're ready it'll feel good to talk about it and let everything out, but for now just forget about it. You don't have to say anything if you're not ready to."

"I'll try my best to Nate."

Me and Nate smiled at each other before he came and hugged me tight to comfort me. Something he'd usually do. Maybe if I did vent out about everything that happened back in my past would make me feel better.

But I can't.

Not right now at least. I'm not ready to say any of that. Especially to Sam and the Jacks. They can't know about the bad things. No details. Just basic, overall topics for now. Nate doesn't even know all of the full details to some of the things that have happened. Most of my past stuff is in the dark to him.

Nate pulled me away, then looked down as his hands rested on my shoulders. "Come on, let's go back downstairs and hangout. We'll just relax, clear your mind a bit."

I nodded at him.

He let out a little laugh and placed his arm around my waist as we walked back over to the stairs to the basement.

The three boys looked up at me as I came into their view.

"Hey, you ok now?" Sam chuckled a little.

"Ya I'm fine. Just get a little emotional at times that's all. Nothing too big to worry about." I assured him, shrugging my shoulders as I made my way back towards the bed. Then sat down on the edge again.

"Oh, we're taking you out tomorrow by the way. So don't think about making any plans." Sam told me. As in "we're" he meant him and the Jacks. But no Nate. Weird.

"Just you three?" I questioned.

"Yes ma'am. With you being Nate's "sister" and all why not get to know the new family addition." Johnson shrugged.

"Ya, Nates our friend and we all hangout practically everyday. We gotta know who the new girl is. Make sure you fit into our group and all you know." Gilinsky winked at me.

I smiled at their attempt to try and be friends with me. Sam I'm not surprised. But the Jacks I'm actually quite surprised. By that I mean they're all just very different towards me than how Sam is.

Sam and me are pretty friendly and talkative with each other. He likes to make and hold a conversation with me and doesn't seem to mind hanging around me.
