"Maeve, I'm breaking in." Jude says as he comes into my room and I smile as I open my arms and he comes over, giving me a hug before lying on top of me.
"You break in a lot." I say as he moves underneath the blanket, as I grab out my phone and he watches as I begin responding to our friend group, Jude being in every picture I send. "Was Daria here when you got here?" I ask as I glance at him and he nods.
"She was on the phone with Nico, your dad is still gone though." He says as I open a picture from Ferran and he's with Gavi and Alejandro currently.
"I'm surprised Ale isn't with Pablo." I say as Jude scoffs.
"They're always together." He says as I nod. "I bet they're not surprised I'm with you right now." He adds as he nudges my shoulder.
"They know when I'm here in Madrid with my dad I spend the most time with you, and when I'm in Barcelona with my mom I spend all my time with them. It's a balance." I suggest as he nods.
"I don't know how you go back and forth all of the time, I feel like it'd get complicated." He says as I put my phone down and he takes his out as I watch him begin responding to people.
Jude grew up in Barcelona and came through La Masia with Pablo Torre, Alejandro, Ansu, and Gavi and they quickly became a little friend group. Ferran became like a big brother to everyone and joined our group about a year after, but he's been a big influence in all of our lives and we all appreciated what he did.
By the time Jude turned 17 he made a transfer to Real Madrid but it was convenient because my dad lives in Madrid so it gave me more of an excuse to come visit Madrid more often.
I've known all of the guys for about 6 years and became closest with Jude, but ever since he left for Real Madrid I've definitely gotten a lot closer with the other 5. It felt weird when Jude left but at the same time we all still talk everyday and they've grown accustomed to being rivals who happen to also be best friends.
"Well the alternative is I never see you." I say as I snap out of my thoughts and he takes a picture of me as I hold a thumbs up.
"Yeah and that'd be so hard for you." He jokes as I roll my eyes.
"Don't tell me you wouldn't be begging for me to come over here all the time." I say as I roll over, facing the door as it opens. "Weird timing."
"Guess what?" Daria, my sister, says as she comes in the room, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Oh come on, you should know to knock by now, what if we were doing something bad?" Jude says as he wraps his arms around me from behind.
"Knocking wastes time." She smiles as she pushes my legs over so she has more room. "Plus it's been 6 years and nothing has happened between you two so it likely never will."
"Sounds like a challenge." I say quietly as I turn my head and I see Jude smile before he quickly winks at Daria.
"I was talking with Nico and I guess there's going to be a new signing soon. He can't get any information out of Xavi besides he's close in age to all of you guys." She says as Jude blows out a breath.
"It's me, I hate that Nico is exposing me like this." He jokes as I turn around, smacking his chest.
"Don't tease about that, everyone wants you back." I mumble as he shrugs and I look at Daria, "can I tell the guys?" I ask with a smile and she shrugs.
"I don't care, Nico would be getting in trouble, not me. Tell away." She says as she gets up, going over to the door.
"Groupchat time." I say as we both go on our phones, going into our groupchat.
