"Solis." Pedri whispers as I roll over, lifting my head to look at him as he smiles slightly, "you're adorable." He adds quietly as his thumb brushes over my cheek before I lay my head back down.
"Mmm." I mumble as I close my eyes as he rubs my back.
"What did Jude say on the phone, why were you crying?" He asks as I take a deep breath, lifting my head once again.
"Do we have to talk about it?" I ask quietly as he nods.
"Yes." He responds as I sigh, leaning against my elbows as I look at him.
"It's not anything personal, when I talk to him I know he's just going through something himself so I can't be mad about it, it's fine." I explain as he shakes his head.
"Not good enough." He says as I give him a look.
"Pedri, come on." I mumble as he raises his eyebrows.
"Just open up, I'm not going to judge." He says quietly as he brushes his thumb over my bottom lip.
"I'm not scared that you'll judge," I say as I sit up, "I'm scared for how you'll react."
"So then just say it, I promise I won't react poorly." He says as I frown.
"Why don't I trust you?" I ask as he sits up before gasping.
"Solis, I'm so trustworthy." He smiles as I roll my eyes.
"Not that trustworthy if I don't trust you right now," I say as I lean over, placing my hand against his jaw, "I just don't want you to be mad, that's all."
"I just want you to need me, Solis. Tell me about all your problems, tell me about everything good, I don't care what it is I just want to be needed by you." He admits as I lean over to him, placing a kiss on his lips.
"I do need you." I say as he pulls me onto his lap, "and I will continue to need you." I add as I wrap my arms around his neck.
"Promise?" He whispers as I nod before he gives me a kiss, "good."
He immediately rests his hands on the hem of my sweatshirt I'm wearing as I run my hands through his hair, "I don't think I'd be capable of leaving, I'm in it now." I say quietly.
He nods as he wraps an arm around my waist before flipping us over and I smile, "I really like you Maeve, I'm dumb for faking another girl, we probably could've been together sooner." He says as I run my hands up his back before pulling him back into a kiss.
"I forgive you, it's okay." I mumble as he kisses my jaw, trailing down my neck before he moves my sweatshirt down.
"You should tell me what he said." He whispers as he trails kisses back up to my lips.
"That you'd leave because he'd get bored I wouldn't be able to give you anything. I have a lot of problems obviously that he knows about, and he's going to try to use that against me." I say as he immediately stops what he's doing.
"What?" He asks as I shake my head.
"No it's okay, I don't care." I say as he sits up and I groan as I lean up on my elbows.
"How is that just okay to you? That's insane to say to someone, let alone someone who's supposed to be your best friend." He explains.
"Because I'm used to it, whenever he goes through something he takes it out on other people, that's like what I do except in more of a recluse way." I shrug as I sit up fully.
"Maeve that's not okay, you can't keep letting it happen and forgiving it. You need him to own up to what he says and does." He says as I shake my head.
"It's okay."
"Do the guys know he says that shit to you?" He asks as I shrug.
"I don't know how much Jude tells the guys, and I never really say anything because I don't want to cause problems in the group. We have a dynamic and we make it work." I say as he scoffs.
"Maeve you're essentially blind to the situation, if that's how he always acts you make excuses for it and you don't realize how bad it actually is."
"I said it's okay, why can't you just take that as an answer." I mumble.
"Does he ever apologize to you? Not like a crappy apology, a real one where you know he means it." He asks as I purse my lips.
"Uh," I stammer as he nods.
"That's your answer." He says simply as I frown.
"I don't know what to say." I admit as I tap my leg.
He looks at my hand before he clears his throat, "okay it's fine let's not talk about him, it's okay." He says as he reaches for my hand.
"I've been able to take care of my friendship with him for this long, and I know you're trying to help but I don't need that. I need you but I don't want you to come in and play hero when it comes to him." I say as I place my free hand against his jaw.
"Okay I won't." He whispers as I lean over, wrapping my arms around him in a hug, "he is pissing me off though." He adds as I laugh.
"I can tell." I say quietly as he wraps his arms around me tighter.
"Okay now go to bed." He says as I scoff.
"You're the one who woke me up to talk." I say as I pull away from him and he immediately shakes his head.
"No I don't remember that part." He says as I move so I'm lying down.
"You don't remember because you got distracted while we were making out." I say as he clicks his tongue.
"Okay yeah that's valid, I did get distracted." He admits as he gets under the blanket.
"Oh I'm aware." I whisper as I move so my arms are wrapped around him before he kisses the side of my head.
"Goodnight." He says quietly as he rubs my back.
"Goodnight." I respond softly.
