Babydoll. Babydoll. Babydoll. Babydoll.

That is all anyone ever heard come out of Bucky's mouth was something having to do with me and why his unreasonably gorgeous nurse wasn't here with him in the clinic. He didn't care if I was going to take care of him or not, he just wanted me by his side. He wanted his strength within arms reach when his left arm was in a sling.

Yeah, that didn't last long and he took it off.

Bucky managed to annoy every single nurse and doctor- even Layla which is hard to do with how patient she is with everyone but Bucky repeating my name over and over, asking for me was starting to sound like a broken record to the clinical staff. Steve came down while Natasha, Loki, and Clint all helped get me washed up with Natasha wiping the blood off my skin while the two men were turned away. Loki helped with picking me up and moving me to lay on my side and Clint assisted Natasha with dressing me but they could only do so much when they were also keeping my modesty intact so Loki wove his hand and I was dressed in new pajamas that are made out of pure silk and feel so good against my skin.

When the three of them were content with how I was laying, Natasha grabbed some wipes and face cleanser to wipe the small amount of makeup I have on that she enjoyed when cleaning my face and even doing my eyebrows while I was asleep. I mean, I couldn't feel anything nor move so a win is a win? I don't care, at least I didn't have to go through my skincare routine and she did that for me. Now the issue here- yeah, I know... The issue is that Bucky annoyed his way out of the clinic despite still having the meds in his system that made him sleep talk and murmur things when Steve dragged and I mean dragged his ass to our room. Bucky flopped in our bed and woke me up after I've been sleeping for hours and came out of my own shit where I apologized to Steve but he came over and hugged me, reassuring me that I was alright.

Now, onto the issue like I was originally talking about.

Like I said, the meds were not out of Bucky's system so after Steve and I patched our hearts and made up, Bucky was sleep talking worse than he usually does so I really thought he was awake and I tried to calm him down but nothing was working so I ignored it and went back to sleep when Steve left. Bad idea. Bad idea because Bucky's muttering of random things started to turn into repetitive demands. Comforting words turned to apologies and promises. It was clear he was having a nightmare with how his body was shaking. Me? I was dead asleep when he found his way under my pregnancy pillow and curled up behind me with his right arm under my body and between my baby bump and breasts, holding me to his chest in his shaking grip that even transferred to his left hand that was sprawled over the front of my stomach, almost to protect our sleeping baby.

"James?" I whisper and look over my shoulder, only to see his when his head rests higher than mine on my pillow. "James." I speak again

"No... n-no, no, no... I'm not going." Bucky breathes sharply and take a deep breath, knowing he is having a nightmare from the medicine that overworked his brain. "J-just let her go..." He continues and tightens his hold around me

"Mmm." I hum a short syllable and grab his metal hand with both of mine, trying to pry it off of my stomach. "James, stop." I breathe a soft grunt and attempt to at least push his hand down by my legs but nothing works and his hand continues to press into my front

"No, n-not my babies..." He ignores me and I sigh

"JARVIS, get Steve and Thor and tell them Bucky's having a nightmare and he has me stuck in his hold." I whisper and hear the softest click up in the ceiling, letting me know that JARVIS switched to the two rooms and wakes up the soldier and God who quickly but quietly rush to my room in under twenty seconds it feels like. "Steve?" I sigh quickly and look over my shoulder when I hear the click of my lock turn
