Finishing my lunched turned into me getting to go home or up to the living floor of the tower as it is what I am really doing after Layla told me we had too many nurses and doctors clocked in for the day so I am and will always be the first to go because of how hard my pregnancy is. I wasn't really sure what she meant by that but when she explained that she constantly sees me wince when I sit, slowly get up, and take a moment to move after I come out of a patient's room, I finally understood what she meant because in science terms, this is supposed to be the hardest pregnancy to ever be recorded according to her, Bruce, and Frank but I feel like I am doing just fine.

Even when I pack my things up and haul it up to the living space for my lunch box to get cleaned out in the dishwasher and when Peter tells me about his day with Theo and how they worked on his homework as well because they thought that was more interesting than the repetitive games that got boring when they kept getting draws and couldn't outsmart each other. I was doing even better when I walked up to my room and found Bucky folding the laundry in the closet before I walk in and catch his attention that makes him drop the shirt he was hanging up back in the hamper so he can come rushing out to me with open arms.

"My beautiful babydoll." Bucky smiles and hugs me to his bare chest since he is in his classic outfit of only sweatpants. "You're out of work early." He mentions happily without feeling bad about the probable troubled nurses

"They were overstaffed so Layla let me clock out a few hours early." I smile up at him. "I missed you." I murmur and rest my head on his chest that he holds there with his metal hand

"Oh, I missed you more, precious." He kisses the top of my head before kneeling down to lift up my scrub shirt. "I missed you as well, babygirl." He smiles and holds the sides of my bump in his hands as he leans forwards and kisses right above my belly button where he gets a greeting filled smack on his nose he blinks at. "What are you doing hitting your dada like that, babygirl?" He chuckles after his head jerks back at the motion. "Careful with your mama." He whispers

"He's alright." I reassure and move to unclip my badge to toss it on the desk with my plastic bag still in my hands that hasn't left his mind and is ready to be asked about when he stands back up. "Okay, how would you feel if I told you that I went shopping today?" I ask and he smiles when he immediately knows where this is going

"What's in the bag, Y/n?" He smirks at me and my nervous state

"Listen, I only did it since you did and I couldn't help it!" I defend myself and hold the clothes behind my back

"Just show me what you got, babes." He pushes and steps forwards that makes me take a step back. "I'm not upset and I was gonna go shopping again with you tomorrow if we had nothing going on." He exposes himself and I gasp now

"Really?!" I ask excitedly and almost consider going out now when he nods

"For my babydoll, yes." He laughs and holds out a hand. "Now, show me what you got for our little love." He slaps his fingers against his palm and I happily turnover the bag to him where he opens it and pulls out the forest themed newborn hats that have trees, foxes, grass, and lambs all over them. "That's adorable." He murmurs and feels the soft material that matches the bibs and two shirts that I picked out. "Look how tiny these are, mama." He says when he pulls out the little socks. "Perfect for when he is born and is being rocked to sleep all tired from being milk drunk."

"Milk drunk?" I repeat with a small laugh

"Oh, yeah." He nods and sets the clothes on our nightstand to replace his hands with my waist he tugs to his body. "When he's so full from mama feeding him, he's all cross eyed and happy as can be before he falls asleep right in her arms. You'll probably have to wipe the milk drops off his cheeks." He fills my head with the fantasy and I frown a small smile when I feel the impatience lift in my chest
