The dark void that he floated in was impossibly silent, but he found comfort within that fact. He didn't have to worry about anything, not a single worrysome or anxious thought had crossed his mind ever since he found himself floating in this seemingly infinite space. He stared into the darkness that surrounded him on all sides, lost in the nothingness, when he heard a voice. A voice that was familiar to him.

He couldn't make out what it said, or exactly who it was, but he knew that just the sound of that voice put him more at ease than he already was. It was a voice that brought a strange fuzziness to him, a feeling that he hadn't felt in a very long time. A feeling that he'd give anything to feel again. He closed his eyes and intently listened to the familiar mumbled that echoed throughout the large expanses of wherever he was, trying his best to remember who's voice it was.

"Is he going to be okay?" Gwen asked as he stood near the bed of the guy who fell through the portal into her room.

"He's stabilized, both of his lungs had collapsed from the wounds but luckily all of the bullets went through his body. We injected nano-drones to help patch the holes in his lungs with synthetic tissue but it appears that his body is already healing itself." Said the Nurse watching over him in the infirmary.

His body was already healing itself just hours after? That was inhuman. She took a step closer towards him, studying his resting figure upon the bed. His dirty blonde shaggy hair covered his forehead and a small amount of his closed eyes. An oxygen mask adorned his face, a face that Gwen could see fully now slightly besides the clear plastic mask that covered his nose and mouth. He had a square shaped face with a toned jawline, a scar cut horizontally across the bridge of his nose, presumably caused by a knife maybe?

Her eyes moved down to his bandaged yet toned chest and abdomen, scars from previous wounds were apparent there aswell. Two tubes were inserted inside both of his plueral cavities, sucking the excess air out of the space caused by the lungs collapsing. He had a six pack of abs which ever so slightly rose and fell every few seconds. An IV was inserted into one of his two muscular and toned arms. The right forearm having a tattoo of what appeared to be a barcode, the veins from his forearms slightly bulged aswell.

On his left wrist he wore a black steel watch, but none like she had ever seen. This watch had a red glowing ring that circled the watchface, it was probably his multiversal travel device. She moved her face closer to the watch, inspecting it intently. A robotic voice had spoken when he fell through the portal into her room, could that voice have been the watch? Did he have some kind of AI assistant like how Miguel has Lyla? Out of curiosity, Gwen spoke trying to get the Watch to answer her.

"Uhm...Watch activate?" She spoke, unsure of herself. The words sounding more like a question than a direction.

"Are you trying to talk to his watch?" The nurse behind her asked with a small chuckle. Gwen stood up, embarrassed.

"Well I heard some kind of robotic voice earlier when he fell into my room, and this Watch dosent look normal either." She said with a sigh.

The nurse pursed her lips in thought before speaking.

"Well, maybe there's some kind of secret passcode or phrase or something?" She said with a shrug of her shoulders.

Gwen shrugged her shoulders aswell, looking back down at the guy.

"I want to find out who and what he is. Its not every day someone falls into your room on the verge of death." She said with a small chuckle at the end.
