"Renee, what are you doing?" Devale asked walking down the stairs with DJ.

I turn my head and innocently smile. "I'm just fixing the flowers." I said softly.

"No ma'am." He said walking up to me.

He put DJ down and started looking over my shoulder. I was released from the hospital and Devale felt like he had to come back home with me. To be honest I wish my mother would've stayed a little longer. She was less annoying than he is. I can't do anything. He won't even let me walk to the bathroom by myself.

I'm only having slight pain here and there. Nothing more than what feels like period cramps. I don't know if it's my body healing from the splenectomy or the fetus I'm currently letting grow inside of me. But I have to get up and move around. If I lay in bed all day then I start thinking about the baby and the baby isn't an issue I'm ready to face right now. So, I find house duties to take my mind off of it.

"Devale look I can rearrange flowers. It's not gonna kill me." I said as as he walked away.

"It might." He shot back. "DR. Whitfield told you to lay yo ass down!" He yelled from the kitchen.

I rolled my eyes looked at my son as he threw himself from the couch onto the floor.

They want to birth another one of those.

"Your son is about to break his ankle!" I yell to Devale.

I heard him come out the kitchen and he started getting on DJ about throwing himself from high places. Then he came over to me and finished watching me.

"Did you take all your medicine?" Devale asked me.

"Yes."

"What about your vitamins?"

"..."

Devale shook his head as he opened his hand, showing me a hand full of vitamins including prenatal vitamins. I grabbed my water bottle and took the pills with an attitude. Once I was done I could still feel him staring at me.

"Done! You can go now." I said grabbing my flower scissors.

"Crystal..." he cooed.

"What?"

"Put the scissors down and go upstairs please." He said making me huff loudly.

"I gotta finish them." I say shrugging.

I could tell Devale was slowly becoming aggravated with my disobedience. He wanted me to just listen and not give him a hard time.

"Fine. But nothing else after this." He said sternly.

"Okay. You know I don't need a babysitter." I tell him.

"Well as your husband it is my job to make sure you're okay." Devale said making me roll my eyes.
