Regulus silently followed James as he lead them into the trees. James had suddenly came up with an idea as they were laying out behind the Potter's house. Regulus was stupid enough to agree to whatever James had planned. He didn't know that this is what it would intel.

Regulus' breath caught when he glimpsed as what James was leading them towards. It was a fountain-pool of some sorts. It looked beautiful. When James looked back at Regulus in question, Regulus' heart stopped. James fit so well with the rocks behind him. His beautiful features complimented the architecture of the fountain behind him. Regulus didn't say anything for a few seconds. He caught himself though. "Oh, it's beautiful, James. Truly."

Regulus was taken by surprise when, after giving Regulus a lopsided smile, James promptly stripped to his pants, and he threw himself into the water.  Regulus knew for sure that this was really a spur of the moment thing because neither of them had anything to actually swim in. Regulus hesitantly stripped and followed James into the water. He hoped in wasn't deep; he had never learned to swim.

James was lazily swimming back and forth in the fountain. Regulus found that it wasn't very deep at all, so he was simply leaned against one of the rock walls. "Come on, Regulus. Swim with me," James requested. James stopped swimming when Regulus didn't move. "Come on, please," James pleaded. When Regulus stayed quiet once more, James' smile grew mischievous. Regulus began to regret not responding. James started walking towards him, and Regulus couldn't help but get distracted by the water dripping from James' hair. He watched it roll down James' chest. Regulus jumped as James stepped right up against him.

"Uh-" Regulus' eyes were wide as they stared at James. James' face held a smirk and humorous eyes. Before Regulus could think of what to do, James' arms were wrapped around him. Regulus' feet left the floor of the fountain, and Regulus quickly gripped onto James' arms. He let of a small yelp as he begun to fall. Regulus' mouth was still open when his head fell under the water. Regulus flinched as water filled his throat. He frantically extended his arms, trying to find James again. James found him first, and he was lifted back out of the water.

"How'd you like-" James' voice died off. Regulus' hands were gripped James so hard he thought he'd end up giving James bruises. He began coughing and leaning into James. He felt James' hand begun patting him on them back. Regulus squeezed his eyes closed as he practically coughed up his lung.

Regulus forced himself to let go of James, and he stumbled over to the edge of the fountain. He collapsed against the wall. "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to like drown you or anything." James came over. His sounded concerned. Regulus shook his head. It was okay. Regulus closed his eyes, and he leaned his head against the rocks. "We can go back to the house if you want. I'm really sorry," James whispered. Regulus just shook his head once more. He'll be okay.

Regulus could feel his hands shaking. He sat hanging off the wall until they calmed down. James was silent from beside him. "It's okay, James. I know you didn't mean to," Regulus whispered as he turned around. James was staring at him. Regulus gave him a small smile. James gave him a half hearted one in return.

"It's okay if you're mad. I meant it as a joke. Me and my friends always dunk each other under the water," James explained. Regulus watched as James' face lighted up slightly. He could tell James absolutely adored his friends. Regulus set a hand on James shoulder.

"Honestly, it's fine." Regulus gave James' shoulder a squeeze. Regulus isn't a fan of the whole physical context thing, but it was obvious that James loved it. "I mean, it's really on me. I still don't know how to swim, so that probably played a role." James' eyes widened. A smile bursted across his face.

"You don't know how to swim?" James asked loudly. Regulus felt himself blush. He simply nodded slightly. James' laughter rang out into the trees. "What better time to learn?"
