Yvonne's pov
It's finally the graduation day
"Hi!! Vonne bebe" I heard Dria scream. I looked at her and waved my hands also signaling her to come closer.
She ran towards me and threw herself at me, we almost lost balance because of the impact. I just laugh and hug her back.
"Omg di talaga ako makapaniwala graduate na tayo," she said while wiping fake tears from her eyes.
"Arte naman" I commented because of the way she acted. "Duh of course dapat maging malungkot ako magkaiba Kaya tayo ng school na papasukan" She clings herself to my arms.
"Ano ka ba, we can meet occasionally naman" I just said to her while we were walking and looking for our other friends.
Ms.Nora approaches us to tell me to get ready for my valedictory speech later. "Yes, ma'am I prepared myself for this." Ms. Nora then congratulated the both of us.
We thank her and proceed to look for the other guys. By the way, Zeus will not be on the same line as us because he's not our classmate so we will just see each other after graduation.
"Oy mga tol" nagulat ako ng may humampas sa balikat namin ni Dria. Lumingon ako at nakita si Ricky.
Hinampas ko rin ito "Hoy lalake baka nakakalimutan mo babae kami hindi lalaki, kaya ka basta basta manghampas Jan. Sipain kita eh" pagbulyaw ko sa kanya.
"Sorry na, wag ka na galit uwu" nag dirty face ako dahil sa ka jejean nya. "Ngumiti ka na may special moment ka pa naman mamaya sa stage ba ka pumangit ka nyan" umirap nalang ako dito at naglakad na sa mga pwesto namin.
Magkatabi lang kami ni Dria since Arrelano ang apelyido nya at Bañez naman ako.
After a few minutes, the ceremony started and we went up to the stage to receive our diplomas while the others went back to their seat I stayed at the side of the stage to prepare for my speech.
After a short speech from the principal, they proceeded to introduce my name as the class valedictorian.
"Please welcome Clarity Yvonne Bañez to share her inspiring speech with us. Let's give her a round of applause" After the MC introduced me I stepped on the stage while smiling.
The first person I see as soon as I step on the stage is Zeus who's looking at me with so much admiration and love in his eyes. I love you too.
I smiled at him and placed myself in front of the mic and ready myself for the speech.
"Dear teachers and my fellow lovely students
Today, we stand in front of a new chapter in our lives, a new chapter that is filled with endless opportunity
As I stand before you, a wave of emotions washes over me, as we reminisce on the year that brought us to this moment, Our journey started inside the four walls as we are strangers to each other with our dreams and fears, let's acknowledge the challenges that we overcame, the friendships we formed together with an unbreakable bond
To the teachers who saw our talents and potential, to the family who supported us with all their heart, and to my fellow graduates who today stood alongside each other as we face the new chapter of our lives. Congratulations class of 20** May we fill out the journey with unforgettable experiences as we conquer the challenges of life. Thank you"
Everyone clapped their hands and cheered for me but I was not done yet.
"Everyone before I step out of the stage I wanted to take this moment to say something to one special person who made my high school life more colorful than it already is. Zeus Limuel Mendoza I don't want to take this any further I have concealed my feelings from you for the last months that you have been courting me and I waited for this specific moment to tell you that I love you and I wanted to stand beside not just as a friend but as someone who you can rely on life. Thank you for everything you did for me and I will be forever grateful to you." Everyone clapped and started teasing us. I handed the mic to the teacher and she hugged and congratulated me, I thanked her and stepped down the stage while blushing.
"Ang galing talaga ng beshy ko" Dria sequels while shaking me, I just laughed at her and looked at Zeus who was also looking at me.
I smiled at him and mouthed I love you he smiled and reply I love you too.
After the ceremony, I excitedly went to look for my parents and hug them. Mama is crying because of joy.
"Ma, wag ka umiyak," I said to her while hugging her tightly.
"Bakit ako lang pati kaya papa mo" she pointed at Papa who is silently crying while looking at us lovingly. I invited him and we group hugged.
"Hey" I heard someone talk behind my back and there I saw him. He smiled and hug, I hugged him back so tight that he felt like I never wanted to let him go.
"Hmm!"tumikhim si papa na nasa gilid namin, natawa kami parehas at binati na nya si mama at papa.
"Hi tito tita, na miss ko po kayo" he went to my parents to hug and kiss them on the cheeks. I saw Zeus's parents also so I approached them.
"Hello tita and Tito" They looked at me and smiled, tita stepped closer to me to hug me.
"Oh congratulations iha your speech is really lovely and of course who would forget the last part" Tita teased me while smiling at me sheepishly.
I just laugh to hide my embarrassment. Tito also hugged and congratulated me after that we went to my parents and Zeus.
Zeus's parents and my parents already know each other since his family once settled a family dinner and they invited us.
"Christina hi!" Tita excitedly hugged Mom while Dad and Tito bro hugged each other. Me and Zeus are just looking at them while his hands are on my waist hugging me on the side.
I looked at him and whispered "We made it" he smiled at me and kissed me on the forehead.
How I love to be loved, I wish to be always near this man.
