◈ Merlin POV ◈
Bandits for what it's always bandits. We can't have one hunting trip without something attacking us. This time the group was bigger than usual and I got a sudden bad feeling.
I tried to help them as much as I could without being seen and somehow managed to do so.
They managed to defeat all the bandits pretty quickly when I saw one of them with the last of his strength release an arrow towards Arthur.
I reflexively used magic to stop it and it caught their attention
'' Merlin '' said Artur
'' You have '' he started but before he could finish I started running in another direction
'' Merlin! '' I heard behind me but didn't stop
'' Merlin wait! '' Melrin stop! '' I heard them shouting behind me but I didn't stop.
I didn't stop trying to have as much distance between us as possible. I managed to see a gap under a rock.
I quickly ducked in there and used magic to hide, I held my breath when I heard them coming towards me
'' Merlin I'm not angry I promise! I just want to talk to you Merlin '' I heard Arthur say
I saw him Leon, Persival, Lancelot, Elyan and Gwaine talking behind me. I was glad that Mordred stayed in Camelot with Gaius because of his broken arm.
I know he would have found me right away, I used my magic to distract them in five directions
'' Let's split up '' suggested Lancelot before Arthur, Leon, Persival, Elyan and Gwaine ran off '' You can come out now Merlin '' he said
'' What am I going to do now? '' I asked
'' Merlin they in truth are not bad, Arthur himself began to suspect that you have magic. He just called us to a meeting the day before the expedition and told us about his suspicions. Of course I kept my silence on the situation but the others said they suspected the same thing '' he said trying to calm me down
'' Merlin! '' shouted Arthur but before I could escape I was caught in his arms
'' What did you think to run away like that! We don't know if more Bandits where lurking! '' he said
'' Merlin! '' I heard the rest of the knights shouting
'' You have a lot to tell mate '' said Gawein
'' You are still our little brother '' said Persival
'' Let's go back to our camp where you will tell us everything from the beginning. You will tell me how many times you saved my life and you will be rewarded for it '' said Arthur
'' I don't want to hear Merlin object. You have protected us for the last 7 years it is time for you to take your credit and be rewarded for it '' said Leon seeing me open my mouth to deny
'' Good '' I said surrendered with a smile.
Despite my misgivings I knew that everything would be fine and Albion's time was getting closer and closer
