You woke the the sound of your alarm and scrambled to shut it off to not wake your roommate next door, the phone read 4:31am. "Ugh it's too fucking early" you muttered under your breath, today was the day you travelled down to St. George's park for your second England cap which just so happened to be the home euros. Sarina Weigman had called you a week prior telling you that you had been selected for the squad. It was a surreal moment because up until March 2022 you had been captaining the U23s, you were a well established player on Man City's senior team making your debut at 15 years old but in recent months you were being played less due to new management that had a strong hatred towards you so you were looking to move this summer. You finally managed to pull yourself out of bed and get into a nice hot shower, by the time you got out it was 5:03am so you were making decent time, your roommate and best friend Gabby was going to drive you down at 10:00am because you were too nervous but you wanted an early start to prepare yourself. You heard your phone go off in your room so you went and checked it was a message from Georgia Stanway "Can't wait to see you today feels like it's been forever xx" You and G had been through the youth stages together so you'd seen all the awkward teen stages, you missed her at City so much since she left so England camp was pretty much the only time you saw her "Can't wait to see you either G miss you sm x" You replied, surprised Georgia was awake so early. You pulled on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, your hair still in a towel. Your anxiety began to kick in when another notification popped up it read 'Travel to St. George's park' "Shit." You said as you felt your stomach drop, at that moment you just wanted to call your mum but you couldn't, 2 years ago your family were on their way to a Manchester Derby to support you but the got into a huge car wreck, your mum, dad, brother and sister all passed on impact it was such a hard patch in your life and just when you think your over it it hits you again and again. You quietly walked downstairs so you didn't wake Gabby and put on the kettle, soon enough you heard a pitter patter on the floor, it was your dog Lola. "Morning Lols!" You exclaimed picking up the miniature chiuaua who's tail was going haywire, she kissed your face many times before you placed her on the floor to finish making your tea. You slump onto the sofa and reach for your phone, you open Instagram to see that Leah Williamson had posted

Wow you thought to yourself, you'd only played with Leah once before and had only spoken one on one a few times but she was one of your favourite CBs to play against, she gave a bit more fight compared to the others who gave in as soon as you got the ball. You were fairly exited to see everyone at camp especially G, Keira and Lucy who had all been playing overseas. After a while for scrolling you hears Gabby thumping down the stairs, her long long hair in a ponytail with her fringe out, she'd had that hair since high school so seeing anything different would be weird. "Morning Gabs" "Morning mini" That was always her nickname for you, 'mini' mainly because you reminded her of herself "what time is it?" You questioned you had been reading a book for a while "erm it's like 8:00am" "SHIT" You replied realising you still needed to finish packing and get ready, Gabby giggled to herself while you sped up the stairs "Right I just need to pack my charger and laptop, then my makeup and stuff when I've got ready" You said to yourself. After doing some light makeup you chose an outfit, you decided on some white linen pants, a blue tank top, a cream Ralph Lauren jumper and your creased air forces. By this time it was 9:34am so you grabbed your suitcase and backpack and loaded it into Gabby's car, you went back inside and grabbed a snack for the road, you decided to set off early to St. George's park at 9:39am
