Chapter 22 - No matter where, No matter how

The next morning you woke up hearing a relatively loud noise coming from the bathroom
"Everything okay Leah?"
You asked quickly getting out of bed
"Yeah I'm good!"
She replied
"What are you doing?"
You asked while rubbing your eyes and regretting getting up so quickly
"I was cleaning up because we didn't get much chance to pack yesterday and we leave at 1pm I didn't mean to wake you up"
"You're too good for me Le, you didn't wake me up don't worry"
"How are you feeling, you know after last night?"
"It's not hit properly yet it will come like after the game when I'm emotional"
You replied nonchalantly
"Wait so last night wasn't the worst part?"
Leah looked genuinely concerned, like she was worried
"Nah that was the initial 'oh shit' reaction, my lows are even lower than the ground that has given me a lovely headache"
"Well I'll be here for it all, and I'll get you some paracetamol"
"Babe paracetamol barely scratches the surface of my migraines that's why I've got meds for it"
You reminded your girlfriend
"Oh yeah, you actually need to take your meds at breakfast please"
"I will"
You said lying through your teeth because you knew that those meds weren't being touched for weeks

It was around 8am and everyone was at breakfast, you weren't eating anything but nobody said anything because they had all been informed about Gabby, you hated the fact everyone knew, you decided to get the dedication post out of the way as your fans were familiar with her.

Losing the person who was there for you when you weren't there for yourself has got to be the worst pain, unfortunately Gabby passed away an hour after our game, I like to think she gave me good luck as a goodbye but that's just me, we'll always be together, no matter where, no matter how. You replied forcing a laugh, you always processed death and grief wierd, at first it you're just numb then it hits and your at rock bottom for weeks. Sarina then began her morning announcements
"Big well done last night girls you should be proud, I like to think it was a goodbye from an angel who I'm aware many of you knew, you all know where I am if your needing support it's what I'm here for. You have the morning off today so you have a few hours to yourselves spend it how you like but be in the lobby by 12:50pm please"
You wanted to escape your thoughts so you went to the gym and put on some boxing gloves, letting every emotion out on it, anger, sadness, everything.
"Fucking hell kid your gonna break it"
You saw Lucy stood in the doorway, you took off your gloves and put your airpods away
"how long have you been there?"
"Long enough to see somethings not right and your struggling"
She replied coming closer to you, you didn't say anything just sighed and looked at the ground
"You know it's okay to feel like this Y/n, Gabby was the only reason you are here, she's stopped you from losing it all, but now you've lost her"
She said hugging you tightly
