Chapter 2 - The Short Straw

As Gabby was driving and the both of you were singing your heart out to Bruno Mars your phone begins to ring
"Hello who is this?"
You said while trying to figure out who's number it was
"Hiya y/n it's Keira I'm using Leah's phone, just checking where abouts you are were about 20 minutes away"
"Oh hi Kei, erm I'm around 25 minutes away so you'll be there before me. Who you with anyways the car sounds busy?"
"I'm with Luce, G and Leah but my phone died."
You heard someone shout in the background
"Yeah cause she's an idiot!"
It was Leah southern accent which you recognised easily
"OI"
Keira shouted back
"I'll leave yous to scrap see you soon"
You said as you put the phone down
"You exited mini?"
Gabby questioned
"If you class feeling like throwing up as excited then yeah, really exited"
You said back making the pair of you giggle. Soon enough you arrived at St. George's park 10:56am. After unloading the car and saying goodbye you felt someone jump on your back, it was Georgia soon followed by Keira, Lucy and Leah stood a few metres away laughing at the three of you
"Y/n/n!"
G screamed down your ear as you positioned her into a piggy back so she didn't fall. You walked over to Lucy and Leah, hugging both of them, you guys were the first ones there so you walked inside, Lucy and Keira were in front leaving you, Georgia and Leah together.
"Guys can I ask a huge favour of you?"
Georgia asked
"Yeah sur-" "Depends"
Leah interrupted you
"Would yous be fine with rooming together I kinda want to go with Esme"
Georgia said this while giving the pair of you puppy dog eyes
"Yeah that's fine by me!"
Leah replied suspiciously quick
"Thank youuuuu"
Georgia sped off before you could change your mind
"Sorry I didn't let you speak then, you okay with rooming with me?"
Leah said in a soft, comforting tone, different to the stern one she used with Georgia
"Yeah I'm fine with it, wonder why G wanted to go with Es so badly"
You both shrugged it off and waited in the lobby for everyone to arrive. After the rest of the group arrived you were given room keys and most of the people headed upstairs, you stayed with Niamh and Millie for a little while then decide to go unpack, you got to the stairs when Leah appeared and grabbed something off the table
"You need help with that kid?"
She questioned looking at your suitcase, before you could reply she grabbed it and you both went to your room.
"I forgot to tell you but we kinda pulled the short straw with our room"
You stepped inside only to see one queen sized bed in the middle of the room.
"I'll sleep on the couch"
Leah exclaimed
"We could just share it, there's enough room"
You butted in, you don't know what you were thinking.
"I was gonna suggest that but I didn't know if you'd be comfortable"
Leah said taking a deep sigh of relief
"No I'm quite easy with room situations there's been times where we've had 2 people per single bed"
"Oh God"
You both chuckled to yourselves and began unpacking
"I'm just gonna have a quick shower"
Leah said grabbing her towel and clothes
"Alright"
You replied elbow deep in your backpack trying to find your meds. You had been diagnosed with multiple things throughout your life including, athsma, ADHD, anemia, hyponatremia (a sodium deficiency), anxiety and depression so you had a heafty load of meds you carried around with you, you set it out on your bedside table so you didn't forget about them. After a while Leah was finished in the shower and reentered the room.
