Meeting up with Leon I asked "What seems to be the problem?" Leon responds with "There seems to be a dynamax issue but I don't think you should worry about it just complete your championship task." I stand there willing to help but he repeated himself asking me to just continue my task to become champion.
Leaving route 9 through a tunnel there were tons of Leon fans blocking my way. Man first Team Yell now these guys I swear at least the Marnie fans weren't that bad to get across minus our fights. Anyways I had to traverse through the community to get to the next gym only to get a message about Leon befriending the Rhyhorn causing the commotion. It seems like the problem was about dynamax wreaking havoc. At least that was over and pretty fast too.
On my way back to Hammerlocke I had to prepare. Anything could happen if I am not careful so I had to craft a powerful team. After carefully constructing ideas I finished the building as I run off to the gym.
It seems like the challenge here was to fight the final four who made it this far in a doubles match. Wait doubles match? This is not normal at all but hopefully I can make it through with no casualties. The first team used the rain which was not too bad as dazzling gleam can blind anyone who comes near. The sun was up next but luckily our clouds can cause it to fade even with its fiery passion. Next it was snowing which went alright no casualties still but at least my chances of winning weren't absolute zero.
Now I can make it to Raihan. Knowing the past battle I believe that this will be a sand team knowing about how the Gordie's gym and Chun-Li bring sand into matches quite frequently. Raihan congratulates me for making it to the end of the required gym leaders. But swore on making it the end of my game which trust me I doubted his allegations.
Raihan begins by sending Gigalith and Flygon to which I send Marisa and Chun-Li. Gigalith starts by bringing a sand storm which I already knew was a problem. Chun-Li starts by mining Gigalith with it's drill as Flygon uses a steel wing on Marisa. Marisa then dazzles the both of them while Gigalith sets up rocks finishing Gigalith and Flygon immediately. Raihan sends out Duraludon and Sandaconda. Duraludon gigantamaxes while Chun-Li dynamaxes. Marisa switches for Hearth who gets hit by steel spikes leading to his demise. I'm sorry Hearth you were there since the beginning and I lost you despite saving my life multiple times. Rest well my bat. Marisa comes back only to get crushed by spikes like Hearth. Marisa, why did you have to go like that? I should have been more considerate of you especially after your valiant work towards Piers, assisting against Marnie, and covering up weaknesses for me. You were there for me and to see you with one last attempt to save your friends only to fall makes me ashamed. Sleep well, witch of the forest. Makoto comes next who finishes off Duraludon finally getting revenge for Hearth and Marisa. Where Chun-Li helps corner Sandaconda. At the end it was a few shots left till Sandaconda faints giving us a victory.
After the battle Raihan shakes my hand and congratulates me with a bit of remorse in his voice. It seems he was aware of what he has done and felt sympathy for me at the end. Which gives me a theory as to why that all happened. Before leaving the gym, Raihan hands me over the ability to teach breaking swipe which doesn't seem like something I would use but the novelty is there. He also hands me the dragon uniform before forgetting to do that too.
Sonia and Magnolia came over after I left the gym noticing I wasn't happy. They ask what happened there. I explained how Hearth and Marisa died in there and how they were there for me since the beginning. Magnolia then thought about how the theories could have been true after all as the theoretical disease could have been causing many Pokemon to kill each other instead of just fighting. Magnolia tells Sonia to put on a new labcoat for her so she can now become a professor herself.
We now get to meet professor Sonia for the first time who may be able to help with our theories as we walk off I bring Hyro and Henrietta and get ready for the league ahead.
