The next morning, we woke up tired from lifting heavy things the day before. We needed to do our chores before going to our interviews. After taking a bath, we got ready and sat down for breakfast. But, thinking about the interview made me lose my appetite. My heart raced, and my hands and feet felt cold with nervousness."What's going on, Aaru?" Anisha asked, sitting beside me.
"Why are your hands so cold?" she inquired, holding my hands in hers.
Dhruvika overheard and joined us, sitting beside me."Aaru, is it the interviews making you nervous?" she asked, gently caressing my back and I nodded in response.
"Take it easy, Aaru. First interviews are always nerve-wracking, but believe me, you've got this," Anisha reassured me.
"Out of all of us, you're the most confident and positive. We'll be lost if you're feeling like this," Dhruvika remarked.
"I understand, Dhruvi, but I can't figure out why it's hitting me so hard today," I said, rubbing my cold hands together.
"Aaru, it's completely okay to feel nervous. Trust me, you'll shine in the interview," Dhruvika hugged me from one side.
"I totally agree with Dhruvi. It's just pre-interview jitters, and it happens to everyone. Take deep breaths, stay positive, and leave the rest to fate," Anisha added, hugging me from the other side. I found myself sandwiched between them, and after a couple of minutes, I genuinely started feeling more at ease.
"Thank you so much you both. I really needed this, and now I'm feeling much better," I expressed, hugging them even tighter.
"Anisha, your perfume today is fantastic. Are you trying to enchant the interviewer or even the boss directly?" I teased, giving her a mischievous look.
"It's just my usual scent, Aaru. Quit teasing and let's focus on eating," Anisha playfully whined, and we all shared a laugh, adding a touch of humor to the slightly tense atmosphere.
We swiftly finished our breakfast and set off for our interviews. Anisha headed to a fashion designer's store, Dhruvika to the hospital, and I was the last to arrive at my destination. Stepping out of the cab with confidence, I paid the driver. Now, I find myself standing for my first interview of the day at "Regal Renders," a graphic design company.
A mix of emotions is swirling within me, from excitement to nervousness, making my heart race and my hands and feet turn cold. I took a few deep breaths before stepping into the expansive building.
The interiors are undoubtedly stunning, though a bit too vibrant for my taste. 'Calm down, Arika. You're here for an interview, not to purchase the whole company. Focus, girl, focus!' my conscience reminded me, bringing me back to the task at hand.
