Long chapter ahead

A week had flown by with Shivansh and me working on his cabin wall and my wedding project. The design for his cabin was finalized, and I'd already begun working on the wall. My wedding project was also progressing smoothly, receiving great appreciation from clients, thanks to Shivansh's invaluable guidance. I learned a lot from him.
As I sat in the cab to the office, thinking about Shivansh. Over the past few days, we've become good friends, sharing lunch daily and growing more comfortable with each other. Shivansh often drops me home when we stay late, always showing his caring side, which melts my heart, but I think he’s this way only, he is caring towards everyone, I’m no special.
There have been several close moments between Shivansh and me at the office, leaving me flustered and increasingly attracted to him. Despite reminding myself he's my boss and I shouldn't feel this way, his proximity makes me forget everything else. In those moments, it feels like only the two of us exist. I wonder if he feels the same—if his heart races and he forgets his surroundings. But then I doubt it. Why would he feel all this towards a girl like me, who is just a mere employee of his huge company, a girl who joined his company only a month ago.
‘Bangalore ki saari ladkiya mar gai hai, jo Shivansh Arora mere liye ye sab feel karega.’But it’s good if he does not feel anything towards me as I’m not looking for love or relationships in my life. Not now and maybe not ever because I’ve witnessed how love and feelings can complicate things. I don’t want to live that. There is something that makes me cautious about relationships, a reason why I avoid anything that might lead to emotional attachments.
Lost in my thoughts, I was brought back to reality by the cab driver’s voice. “Ma’am, we’ve reached your destination,”
“Oh, thank you”, I replied, quickly paying the fare. I stepped out of the cab and made my way to the office entrance.
As I entered the office, I greeted colleagues and went to my floor. After leaving my belongings at my desk, I knocked on Shivansh's cabin door. That's when our HR Kartik sir came and told me that Shivansh sir is not in the office today, he went out for some meetings. He handed me a file which consists of some designs Shivansh sir left for me to work on.
Taking the file I returned to my desk with a slight disappointment because I made Dal Makhni today as he mentioned it was his favorite too.
I started working on the designs. After some time my teammates arrived and I was greeted warmly by them because I hadn't seen them in a while. Lunch bell rang and we decided to have lunch together and caught up on everything we had missed. After lunch, we returned to our desks just as the break was about to end. One of my teammates, Nikita, approached me with two friends, with a smug looking at her face. I sensed something was off.
