The Reason

The eight nations sat in the now cramped living room, Kiku repeatedly apologized for the little space he had while serving them with tea. As he was doing so, Hercules glances around the room at the other nations who suddenly showed up. He doesn't have a problem with it, not at all. Except for the fact that they're here for Sakura, that little bit irked him just a tiny bit.

Once Kiku finished serving everyone, he sat down next to Arthur on the couch. "Now then, what was it about Sakura you all needed to talk about?"

The other nations fidget in their seats, somewhat hesitant on what to say. Arthur cleared his throat, and began to speak. "Well... You see Honda, Alfred, Francis, Yao and I came here for the same reason," He then looks over to Ludwig and Feliciano. "I'm not too sure about those two." As the attention suddenly changed to the Italian and German, it was their turn to speak.

"I only came along because Luddy asked me to." Feliciano says innocently, then looks over to Ludwig, who coughs awkwardly. "W-Well... I happened to overhear something..." The large man fidgets in his seat, waiting for the others to stop looking at him.

"I see..." Kiku mumbles, "If that's the case, would you mind explaining to me what your reason is, Arthur?"

"Alright then, let's see.... How should I put this..." Arthur holds his chin while deep in thought. A slow groan slips out of the American's mouth, and everyone shoots him a look. Alfred clenches his fists and stands up, "We can't waste anymore time!"

"Alfred what's wrong?"

"Honda don't tell me you're just turning a blind eye!" Alfred speaks in a louder tone, and everyone is almost a little shocked. The young American was known universally to shout and talk with a loud voice, but not in such a serious matter.

"I'm talking about Sakura! We all know she's a substitute, and substitutes like her aren't supposed to live that long! So why is it that she's still here when she's not supposed to, she could disappear at any moment!" Alfred was almost taking in heavy breaths at the end of his little rant, and Francis put his hand on the American's shoulder. "Alfred, that's enough."

"What.. Enough?" Alfred cranes his neck to look over to Francis. "I was just getting started, I still have a lot more to say."

"We all do." Yao, who had stayed silent up until now, spoke. "However you should not rush it, little boys like you should respect their elders and speak when spoken to."

"Alright that's enough you two." Arthur clicked his tongue. Yao kept quiet, Francis lets go of Alfred's shoulder and sighs, Alfred looks around the room to see if anyone was willing to stand up for him, and obvious expression of desperation lays on his face. "I can't believe you guys..." Alfred hangs his shoulders low and slouches back onto his seat on the couch. "How can you guys act as if nothing's wrong? Aren't you worried?"

"We never said we weren't worried." Kiku sighs, "I had a feeling this day might come. Sakura-cha... Sakura, she..." Kiku trails off and doesn't finish.

"You've gotten close to her, haven't you?" Francis speaks up, leaning forward and crosses his hands in his lap.

Kiku softly chuckles, "Of course I have, in a way she is another 'me'. I treat her as if she was my own sister. Of course I'm worried about her."

"Aren't we all?" Feliciano asks, "I-I mean, she's a nation like us, and a girl like her is someone hard to forget, and someone we'd all be worried about."

Ludwig puts his arm over Feliciano, and nods. "You make a good point, Feli." The German looks over to Kiku with a face full of determination. "Honda, we're all worried about Sakura, and as much as I don't want to say this, I know it's all on our minds." Ludwig pauses, scanning the room of the other nations before continuing. "We fear that Sakura will disappear sooner than we think."
