As Emily stepped onto the train, the whispers were more than ever, her father was on the loose. Emily was walking through the train, looking in each compartment if Cedric was there, her best and only friend. As she checked the last one, she remembered he was a prefect, and so he was in the prefect compartment, she chuckled to herself, "How could you forget that?". She remembered the over excited day when Cedric got his prefect badge, and he burst through the fire place to tell her the news. 5 minutes later Amos Diggory and his wife came to apologize. Emily just couldn't stop laughing.

Back to the present. She found a free compartment, with only a man inside, sleeping. She took no notice of him, and sat down near the window, so she could look outside. Sadly, a few minutes later, the 'golden trio' came in and paid no attention to her, so she paid no attention to them.

After a few hours, the train stopped suddenly, and everyone became cold, and the water became ice. All of a sudden, two a long, dark, cloaked creatures opened the compartment door, as if looking for someone. Then one went towards Harry, and started sucking Harry's face. Emily looked up in shock as the other did the same to her. She heard screams. They were familiar. Here mother's. "Mom..." she whispered quietly before passing out.

"Will he be alright?"

"What happened?"

"Harry, Harry! Wake up!" Harry groggily opened his eyes and sat up.

"Who screamed?" he asked.

"Harry, nobody screamed," Hermione answered, worry laced into her voice.

"Here, eat this," the man, who wasn't so old after all, thrust some chocolate into Harry's hands. "I'm going to talk to the driver." he noticed Harry wasn't eating the chocolate. "Eat, it'll help.", but before he could leave, Harry asked, "What were those things?".

"They were dementors," and with that, the man left the compartment. While eating the chocolate, Harry glanced at Emily, who was still passed out. He was in a dilemma, should he help her, or just ignore her, the man ignored her too...

Harry decided to leave her alone, and just as they arrived, she woke up and found that they already arrived. She quickly changed into her robes and followed the trio out into the corridors and into the horseless carriages, where she met Cedric and sat with him. Only the two friends, as no one wants to sit with Emily Black, except for her friends (which are only Cedric, Kreacher, Noah, her mother, and her grandmother's portrait).

As they arrived in the great hall, Emily was taken aside by Professor McGonagall, together with Harry and Hermione. Harry and Emily were both checked up by Madam Pomfrey, and Harry told Madam Pomfrey that the new Professor gave him some chocolate. "Good, at least we have a Professor that knows what he's doing. of you go now, to the great hall," Madam Pomfrey said relieved, and Emily was about to leave when Harry interfered, "Emily didn't have some, the new professor didn't bother tending to her, and he only gave me some chocolate." this stunned both Madam Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall. Emily was shocked, why did Harry bother, and why did he call her by her first name?

Professor McGonagall asked to talk to Emily and Hermione, and Madam Pomfrey told Emily that she was coming to the hospital wing when Professor McGonagall was done. When the two girls entered, Professor McGonagall started talking, "As you two may now, you are both taking many classes, and Emily is also taking fourth year potions and astronomy." Hermione looked up at her in awe, that was a first. McGonagall saw that - unlike Emily - and dared to smile a small smile, she saw how lonely Emily was, and continued "And the ministry have provided a way to make you take all of your classes. A time turner..." and she took out two beautiful time tuners, "You must always remember, never be seen. Disastrous things have happened to witches and wizards who meddled with time and got spotted... Don't tell anybody. I have already informed the teachers," she looked very stern, "Now, get to the feast." Hermione and Emily parted ways as the bushy brown haired girl walked towards the feast, while the platinum blond walked towards the hospital wing. After Emily got checked up, Madam Pomfrey gave her a whole slab of honeydukes chocolate and allowed her to go to the feast.

When Emily arrived, the sorting was over, and the feast had already started. She sat down at the Gryffindor table, and everybody moved over so they wouldn't be sitting next to Emily Black. She was used to that now. Then the taunting started. Malfoy leaned over and said loudly to Harry and Emily, "Is it true that you fainted on the train?" and he mimicked fainting, he blew a raspberry at Emily, and started talking to everyone that would listen. Whispers surrounded her. While Harry had Ron and Hermione, Emily only had Cedric, who was at a different table. Cedric saw her tearing up, as she had no one to protect her. Emily ran out of the great hall before the could cry infront of everybody. No teacher made a move, except for McGonagall, she saw it, and heard it, and made a stop to it. Cedric followed his friend out of the great hall with great difficulty, as a 4th year ravenclaw girl named Cho Chang tried to get his attention by hanging onto his robe, but he pulled his robe out of her hands and saw her tip over with a small 'oh'. Cedric smirked. Karma.

He found Emily up in the astronomy tower, crying her eyes out. He went over to her and comforted her, letting her cry into his chest. She pulled away, sobbing quietly, asking "Why are they so mean to me Ced? I didn't do anything to them! It is only because of my last name..." she started crying again, and he hugged her again, letting her soak his robes, "I don't know Em, I don't know... You should ignore them, their jerks." Emily chuckled silently and rubbed her eyes dry, "Let's get you to your common room now, shall we?" she nodded, and Cedric brought her to the gryffindor common room, "Goodnight, my fair lady," Cedric said poshly, and hugged her goodnight and left to his own common room. "Fortuna Major," Emily said as she entered the common room. Everybody looked up to see the mass-murders daughter entering, with red eyes, and tear streaks down your face. Harry looked up at her, and thought, 'How can she still be pretty even in this state?', quickly followed by this thought, 'Harry! How can you think that, she is your enemy!', and he quickly looked down. Everybody else was still staring at her, but she ignored it and went to bed... After half an hour most of the common room emptied too, including the golden trio.

"Goodnight," Hermione said to the boys as she climbed up to the girls dormitories, and went to bed. As she entered her shared dormitory, she saw a lump on Emily's bed, pretending to be asleep, but Hermione could hear her sobs and sniffs. She felt bad for the girl, and debated on comforting her, but eventually decided not to. She was the golden trio's enemy after all...
