Forgotten Black

Chapter 10 - A full moon...

The clouds disappeared and out shone a full moon. Everybody knew what was going to happen. Lupin's nose lengthened, his clothes tore apart, his hands turning into claws. He didn't take the wolfsbane potion, so he was a fully mad and savage werewolf tonight, "Awoooooooo!" he howled. Sirius turned into his dog form, but the werewolf was to strong, and threw him to the ground, everybody was shocked and worried for Sirius, except for Emily. She saw Pettigrew turn into his rat form and disappeared. 

There was no other choice, with Professor Lupin as a werewolf, Professor Snape out cold, Pettigrew gone, and Sirius thrown aside, there were no adults to save them. There werewolf started running towards the teenagers. Emily turned into her animagus form - a horse - and ran straight at the werewolf, pushing it off his track, while getting scratched heavily on her shoulder (see picture above for where she was scratched). Harry, Ron and Hermione were staring at her in awe. All of a sudden there was a howl and the werewolf galloped into the forest.

The dog accidentally tripped and rolled over to the black lake, and Harry followed, Hermione supported Ron to go to the hospital wing. Emily turned back to her human form when she reached the lake, it took less energy. There were hundreds of dementors, swarming around Harry and Sirius. In less that seconds Emily had her wand out and shouted, "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" before she fainted as one of the other dementors started to perform the kiss on her. The last thing she saw was her patronus (a horse) meeting a different patronus (a stag), and together they drove the dementors away, and disappeared. 

When Emily woke up, she saw that she was in the hospital wing. Ron was in a bed next to her, with his leg in a bandage. Emily felt something on her shoulder and saw a bandage covering her whole arm, including a part of her neck, blood seeping through. Professor Dumbledore was talking to Harry and Hermione, and then he said "3 turns should do the trick I think Ms Granger". They were going back in time. 

Ron was asleep and Hermione had already put the time turner around her's and Harry's neck. "Wait!" Emily exclaimed, they were going to save Buckbeak and Sirius. They looked at her but didn't wait. Without a moment of hesitation Emily whipped out her own time turner, turned it 3 times, and went back in time. "Hello." she said tauntingly.

"What are you doing here?" Harry exclaimed. Hermione hit her head with her hand, 

"I totally forgot! She also has a time turner!" Hermione answered. They stood there.

"Don't we have a hippogriff and a prisoner to save?" Emily asked, sarcasm laced in her voice.

"Y-yes, come on." Hermione stuttered, still shocked. They walked towards the spot in the Forbidden Forest behind Hagrid's Hut, so they could take Buckbeak when nobody was looking, Emily was a bit slower, due to the fact that she was wounded, but still managed to catch up. Harry immediately started walking towards Buckbeak, but Emily grabbed his arm, stopping him, "We have to wait until the minister of magic sees him, otherwise they will think that Hagrid set him free!" Emily exclaimed, ignoring the tingling feeling that was coming from where she touched Harry, she quickly let go. "Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?" Hermione asked.

Emily ignored her and waited for the three grown men to arrive at Hagrid's Hut. When they arrived, Harry saw that Dumbledore winked at him, and they went inside. "Come on, come on!" Hermione urged Buckbeak as they tried to get Buckbeak to cooperate, "Oh, come on!" Hermione said as they saw that Hagrid, Dumbledore, Macnair - the executioner - and Fudge where headed outside. "Let me do it!" Emily said for what felt like the hundredth time. 

"But your arm!" Hermione protested.

"Stop acting like you care!" Emily almost shouted, pushing past Harry, bowing to Buckbeak and taking the lead from Hermione, taking Buckbeak into the forest easily just before the adult came out. "See, my arm's fine!" Emily showed her arm, but Hermione and Harry saw her wincing from pain.
