The next morning Emily woke up and immediately went to the owlery to go thank Noah for the dress, and she thought about last night as she walked back to her dorm, thinking about Draco Malfoy. Was he just playing with her, or was he actually showing affection to her.

She was humming a nice, calm tune to herself when she bumped into someone. She looked up only to find a pair of grey orbs staring into her own. Emily smiled at him, thinking he would do the same, but he only sneered at her. "Watch out Black! You better respect your superiors!" he sneered coldly. Emily was stunned, and she felt a pang of hurt and betrayal in her chest. Draco could only watch Emily walk away, betrayal and hurt laced in her eyes. A single tear fell onto her cheek. His heart sank. Such a nice girl, he wanted nothing but to apologize, to wipe the tear of her cheek,  and to hug her. But he couldn't. Pansy had been such a snitch. She threatened that if he'd continue mixing with Emily that she'd write to his father. And even though she was a pureblood, she still was the daughter of Sirius Black...

Draco walked up to the owlery to send a letter to someone out of school, to someone he knew would understand. She always did. "Send this to Narcissa Black. Tell her that her son misses her..." he whispered to his owl. To owl hooted and flew off into the sunrise. Draco walked into the great hall, and he was relieved to find that Harry and co were not there yet. He sat alone at the Slytherin table, thinking about what he had done.

Meanwhile, Emily sat alone in her dorm, on her bed, reading Romeo and Juliet. One of her favourites. Lucky was curled up at the foot of the bed, and Phoenix was on her head board, dozing of. Emily put her book away, and debated on opening her presents, and she decided that she would.

She got a candle from the house of Black from Grandma Walburga and Kreacher, a new Shakespeare book (Hamlet), and a bracelet from Cedric. 'That was everybody', Emily thought to herself. So why was there still a small package on the floor?! There was a small note with it, and it read:

Dear Emily,

You are a wonderful girl, and I hope that you know that. I am sincerely sorry about the bullying the last 3 years, and I hope that this present can make up for it. I understand if it doesn't, because the only thing that I ever did to you was make your life hell. I am sorry.

Merry christmas,

D.M.

"D.M," Emily thought out loud, thinking for a few seconds. Then she gasped. "Draco Malfoy..." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She opened the small present to find a necklace with a gold moon on it. There was something engraved in it. Never forget. You are beautiful.

Emily put the necklace around her neck, next to the locket that Kreacher had given her 4 years ago.

Emily went downstairs to eat lunch (it was past breakfast), and hoped to see Cedric to thank him for the bracelet (which she had put on her wrist), but he wasn't there. Emily decided to sit at the Gryffindor table, and luckily enough, the Golden trio didn't bother her, so she left quickly to finish the book she was reading.

Emily stayed up in her dorm for the rest of the day, allowing Cedric to spend this day with Cho. She sent a short owl to tell him that he was to spend the day with his girlfriend, and not with her.

"The end. That was a nice book, wasn't it, Lucky?" Emily concluded, asking her wolf. The wolf nodded, staring longingly at the black lake. "Ah, I get it. Come on!" Emily exclaimed, laughing as she grabbed her bathing suit and quickly changed and put her clothes on top. After a quick walk to the lake, Lucky jumped in, the cold not bothering him, because of his fur. Emily jumped in too, and started shivering even before she hit the water, but she stayed in. It was refreshing, it brought her train of thoughts to a halt, and it allowed her to breathe.

After half and hour Emily went back to her dorm so she could go shower and take some snacks from the kitchen. She just sat on her bed, starting her new book (Hamlet), and almost finished it when it was time for dinner.

She walked down, Lucky weaving in between her legs, causing her to trip onto someone. "I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed looking up to see who it was. Draco Malfoy. "Yeah, I got to go." Emily said, standing up and leaving, but Draco caught her wrist, "Look, Emily. I'm sorry. Pansy threatened me that if I don't bully you, that she'll tell my father, and he will punish me severely. I don't want to bully you anymore. Last night I only found out that you are nothing like your father, and I only saw a part of you. Can we please be friends, but no one knows about it? Please Emily. I'm begging you!" Draco explained. Emily was too stunned to speak, and didn't know what to say or do. "I'll think about it." she said, walking towards the great hall for dinner.

Twas the night before the second task and Emily was in the library, reading, as Cedric and Cho were in the prefect pool, practising the bubble head charm, and doing who knows what. Emily looked at Harry only to see him swimming through books, trying to find what could help him. She didn't bother to tell him about the bubble head charm. Eventually, Professor Moody came, and instructed Hermione and Ron to come with him. Harry was on his own. He looked towards Emily for help, but Professor Moody walked towards her too. "Come with me, Miss Black." he grunted and Emily quickly gathered her things before following him.

They arrived in professor Dumbledore's office. Ron, Hermione, a small girl that looked like Fleur, Cho and Emily all looked at Dumbledore, waiting for him to say something. "You 5 are all one of the champions closely loved person at school. Mr Weasley is Harry's, Miss Granger is Mr Krum's, Miss Delacour is Miss Delacour's, and Miss Chang and Miss Black are Mr Diggory's," Dumbledore spat Emily's name. She had absolutely no idea why he held such a grudge against her. Dumbledore put them all under a spell and Emily blackened out.

When she opened her eyes, she wasn't in his office anymore. Thinking about it, she wasn't even in the school. Then her thoughts came back to her. She was in the black lake. Cedric was infront of her, holding a still unconscious Cho. The merpeople wouldn't let Cedric near Emily, and Emily couldn't breathe. She grabbed her wand and performed a blasting spell non-verbally, freeing herself from the chain attached to her foot. She was started to feel light headed, but battled on, swimming to Cedric, following him up to the surface. She never reached it. Emily swam and swam, but it only got farther and farther away. Cedric watched her, fear in his eyes. Emily's eyes closed, lights flickering in front of her closed eyelids, her last bit of oxygen leaving her body. She turned into a horse, unable to control her animagus abilities, flickering between horse and human, eventually staying as human. Emily sank deeper, and deeper, until she passed the sewage waste. Someone had just flushed, and the dirty water washed out, passing Emily by just a few centimeters. Then, some kind of pulling force pulled Emily into the sewage system, throwing her out of a toilet. Moaning Myrtle's toilet. "Emily?" the ghost gasped, shocked that a girl just got thrown out of a toilet. "Oh no. Oh no!" she shouted, quickly flying through the wall to get to professor McGonagall, who blanched at the hearing of Emily. Cedric - who had returned from the lake - followed professor McGonagall to the girls bathroom and to the hospital wing, eyebrows laced together in worry.

Emily only woke up the next day, completely shivering and vomiting all over the place, she had the wizarding flu. She stayed in the hospital wing for a week, mostly reading books to pass the time. Cedric came in and visited everyday, and talked to her as often as he could. Emily knew why she couldn't breathe when she was in the lake, and she was scared to death only be the thought of it.

Her headmaster had tried to murder her...
