A/N - I drew that picture! :D My sister though that she looked like Emily, so I made it her. :)
Emily was dying to go to the forest of Dean. They were going there after meeting up with the portrait of Grandma Walburga and Kreacher at 12 Grimmauld Place - luckily Sirius wasn't there -, and celebrating Emily's birthday there. The best present was -apart from being there with her loved ones (Noah, Phoenix, Cedric, Kreacher and the portrait of Grandma Walburga) - was an epic sword, at the tip green and blue, and a necklace with a sharks tooth.
Emily said her goodbyes to Cedric - who was going to the quidditch world cup the next morning - and Kreacher, and they apparated away to the forest of Dean.
She quickly walked into the forest, while Noah put down a picnic basket, and said, "Come back before sundown." Emily nodded and ran off.
She heard a soft whimper in the bushes. Emily carefully walked towards the bush and inside it she saw a cute, young, - too tiny to be healthy - wolf pup (see picture). It looked up at Emily with hopeful eyes, and cuddled into her legs like Crookshanks sometimes did. "Hey little one, are you lost?" Emily whispered softly. As if it understood what she was saying, the pup nodded, and Emily saw that the sun was almost down, "I need to go, I'll help you later ok?" Emily said and walked of, - unknown to Emily - the pup followed.
"Did you make a new friend?" Noah asked.
"What do you mean?" Emily returned. Noah nodded to her ankles, where the pup was. "You followed me? Well I must name you, shall I," Emily exclaimed.
"Maybe something like Lucky because she..."
"he" interrupted Emily, of coarse, she had checked the gender.
"He was lucky to meet you!" Noah smiled at Emily.
"Perfect! Welcome to our small, a bit weird, but loving family Lucky!" Emily told him happily. Lucky wagged his tail fast and his tongue was out, trying to lick Emily's hand, which was on his head.
They ate dinner, and Emily wanted to take a picture at the top of the cliff when the moon was out (see picture). They apparated back home, and Emily went of bed, exhausted after the day, and cuddled with Lucky and fell asleep just as Lucky's blue eyes closed.
The next day was uneventful, and the day after was kinda chaotic. Emily went down stairs with Lucky following closely behind, and saw Noah reading the daily prophet with a shocked and scared face. "What's wrong Noah?" Emily asked, and Noah quickly hid the head line of the newspaper with his plate. "Oh, nothing you should worry about." Lucky jumped onto the table and grabbed the newspaper, and gave it to Emily. "Lucky!" Noah scolded, and Emily said,
"Thanks Lucky..." her face paled, "Attack at the quidditch world cup! We need to go to the diggory's now."
"Come on, you can't just go there without warning," Noah tried, but there was no stopping her. She walked over to the fireplace, grabbed a handful of floo powder and shouted "the Diggory House", before disappearing in the bright green flames, Noah following close behind.
Emily fell out of the fireplace and dusted of her clothes and embraced Cedric in a tight bear hug as soon as she saw him, "Thank Merlin's saggy left bottom! You're all right!" Emily breathed quietly.
"Eh, Em, can I breathe?" Cedric asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, yeah sorry," Emily let go and turned to Mrs Diggory who just arrived,
"Hi Emily, I didn't know you were coming?" she questioned.
"Yeah, sorry, Emily saw the daily prophet and she was gone." Noah explained, going into the kitchen with Cedric's parents, leaving the two teenagers alone.
"Who is this little fella?" Cedric asked, indicating to Lucky.
"Oh, this is Lucky, a little wolf pup that I found alone and lost in the woods two days ago."
Cedric 'mmhhed' and said, "Ireland won!"
"Oh really? That's great!" Emily didn't really like quidditch, but for Cedric she would do anything, (except for torture, murder, stuff like that). After few hours it was time to go back home. Emily grabbed Lucky and a bit of floo powder, bid her goodbyes and flooed home.
The next day her list of school supplies came, and the day after that they went to get her stuff for the upcoming year, including a dress that Noah tried to hide, but failed miserably, and he didn't want to tell what is was for. Before Emily knew it, it was the 1st of September, 1994, and the summer holidays were over.

BTW sorry for making Sirius and DUmbledore (and others too probably) look bad. They are amazing characters, but it just fits better with the story line.
