One frosty Halloween night, Jud McFalcon was walking home after a long day at work as the local Middle School music teacher.  “Rotten kids,” he said to himself.  “Tacks in chairs, glue on my coffee mug and even a skunk in my office!  How wouldn’t I like to get back at them!!”

His feet crunched under the newly fallen snow.  As he came around a tree, he saw a black bear digging in the snow.  Jud froze in fear.  As the bear looked up, Jud saw foam around the bear’s mouth.  He walked back slowly, trying not to give reason for the bear reason to attack him.  Crunch.  Jud had stepped on a twig.

The bear heard the snapping of the twig and started to run after him.  The bear tackled Jud to the ground.  Biting at his face and clawing his chest.  Jud screamed in both terror and pain.  His screams splitting the night.  Jud felt his body getting warm.  He dared to open his eyes and saw blood all around him.  “I’m a goner,” he thought to himself.  The final blow came when the bear took his paw and clawed right threw his face.  When the state police found Jud McFalcon’s body ten days later, the blood had froze all over Jud.
