Without even noticing, you had gotten into the habit of pulling at your sleeves to cover your scarred arms. Cornered, you decide to concede to your fate and pull up your sleeve, revealing the pattern of scars. His eyes widen in shock, disbelief or worry.
"How did you find out?"
"You were playing with your sleeves, so I started wondering why you're wearing them in the first place. I was just willing to bet there was a reason for that. So. What happened?."
"I trust that you won't tell anyone, Mr Aizawa."
"That depends. I can't promise that."
You sit down on the couch, pouting. "Please, Mr Aizawa."
"Fine," he concedes, taking a seat on the opposite couch.
You explain to him how you ran away from Gran Torino's place, bumped into the Hero Killer to protect a hero and then went with Stain to have him train you. Then you also explain the part of Shigaraki's attack you had left out about you pretending to be Stain's student. Aizawa stares at you quite motionlessly.
"Alright. Thank you for telling me. I decided that I won't tell anyone."
"You believe me right off the bat?"
"That explains your movements during the practical exam. We were wondering about that. Now, a deal is a deal." He looks at you with his eyes when they flash in red and his hair raises up. You do your best to remember the feeling. He shuts his eyes and his hair falls.
"Feeling anything different?"
"No. I guess you don't actually erase anyone's quirk but make them not be able to manifest it."
"Yes, that's a more accurate description. Looking at Hawks wouldn't cause his wings to disappear."
You chuckle at the thought. "But that doesn't mean it wasn't useful. Thank you, Mr Aizawa!"
"Don't mention it. If you don't mind, may I take a look at your scars?"
You in fact don't mind and sit next to him so he could have a closer look at your arm. But the moment he touches you, he pulls back. "Tsukauchi!" he yells, putting his hand to your forehead. "Are you overheating because of your long sleeves?"
"No, I feel fine." Having said those words, the realization hits. "Wait, am I hot?"
"Extremely."
"That means my quirk's back! I'm going to go get a thermometer," you say as you rush to the medical equipment. You take your temperature and realize that you're a whole two degrees warmer than you used to be.
"I think that All Might's quirk is amplifying the passive aspects of my quirk too," you explain to Aizawa.
"Alright then, what happens next?"
"I'll try to control it." You focus on the warmth and direct everything into your arm and ask Aizawa to touch it carefully.
"Alright. That's even worse than before. But congratulations."
"Wait," you say as you relax and pull the warmth back. "Is this normal temperature?"
"Feels like it," he says, touching your arm. You sit back down letting him finish inspecting the scars.
"You should have Recovery Girl check these scars out. They don't seem to be healing well, considering how long it's been." You agree.
"Anyway, congratulations, Tsukauchi! It seems like I'll have to modify the training plan for the camp."
Remembering you haven't packed, you go to your room to do so as soon as possible, smiling from ear to ear. You have regained the core characteristic and prerequisite for your quirk. Although you're not sure what you can or can't do yet, you'll have the whole camp to figure that out. And as for Shoto, you decide to tell him in person, if you still have the quirk then, rather than over text. The one thing you wouldn't want to do is admit that you lost control again. Absolutely thrilled, you go to bed.
