CJ's POV

I was walking through the front door when my phone dinged. It was a message off facebook. "What?" I asked. I clicked on the phone number and called it. "This better not be a waste of my time."

"Hello?" the voice asked.

"Yeah, this is CJ Halstead," I stated. "I got a message from you on facebook?"

"Yeah, this is Nev. Uhm, I host a TV show called Catfish. I'm here with my co-host Kamie," he replied. "Do you have a few minutes to talk?"

"Yeah, but is there possibly a way we can make this quick?" I asked.

"We can try," Nev stated. "Uhm, any particular reason why? The day's just starting."

"The day might just be starting for you, but it ending for me. I just got home from a 24 hour shift," I stated. "I would like to possibly get some sleep in while I still can."

"Okay, what do you do?" Nev asked.

"I just started my job as a paramedic at the firehouse," I replied. "Look, Nev, I don't mean to be rude, but I know about your show. So, why are you contacting me?"

"Alright, are you able to FaceTime?" Nev asked.

"Yeah," I stated. I accepted his video call right away. "Hey."

"Hey. Okay, now we can see you," Nev smiled. "So, our friend, Catalina Rivas, she goes by Cat. Have you heard of that name before?"

"No," I nodded. "The name isn't familiar to me."

"Okay. She said she's been talking to a Jay Halstead," Nev stated. I raised a brow. "Do you know who that is?"

"I do know Jay," I replied.

"Okay. We saw he was tagged in a couple of your photos and you've commented on some of his," Nev nodded. "But the account name is totally different than what Cat gave us. We were hoping you could clear up that confusion."

"Uhm, yeah. So the page you saw, the one I commented on, that's his real page. Jay and I have known each other since the day we were infants. We grew up together," I replied. "Yeah, it's social media and everything, but we don't post each other anymore due to his job." I looked at Jay as he walked out of the room. "Is someone using my pictures?"

"Someone is using his pictures to catfish Cat," Nev stated. "Uhm, you said you guys grew up together. Are you siblings?"

"No," I chuckled. "Jay's my husband."

"Oh, he's your husband?!" Nev exclaimed. "Wow, that puts us in a totally different situation." I just sat there nodding. "Can we talk to him?"

"Yeah," I stated. "Babe, can you talk to Nev?"

"Sure," Jay replied as I handed him my phone. "Hey, Nev."

"It's really him," Nev pointed.

"I see that," Kamie smiled. "But is it him in the pictures of the other profile?"

"So, we have a friend, Cat Rivas, that says she's been talking to you online," Nev explained. "Does that name seem familiar to you?"
"No," Jay nodded. "And to be quite honest, I'm not online a lot."

"Okay," Kamie sighed.

"Tell us a little about yourself," Nev nodded.

"Okay. My name is Jay Halstead and I'm a cop with Chicago PD," Jay nodded. "I've been married to my wife for almost 4 years."

"How long were you guys engaged?" Kamie asked.

"6 years," I stated.

"Wow, so you guys have been together for a while," Kamie smiled. "Any kids?"
