TK's POV
Once our vacation was over, we went back to Austin. "Okay, we're home," I stated as Eva ran to her room. "Eva, you gotta grab your suitcase."
"I'll take it up to her," CJ replied. She stopped me from going any farther. "Is there something wrong?"
"CJ," I sighed. We went to the living room and sat down. "I've been feeling this for awhile, since your mission to Bolivia." She looked at me. "It was because of Jay, wasn't it?"
"Would you be mad if I told you yes?" CJ asked.
"CJ, I don't know if I can do this anymore," I replied. "I'm your husband and I feel as if I'm on the back burner, second place."
"I know it's not fair to you," CJ sighed. "So, what do we do about it? Eva's caught in the middle."
"We can get a divorce, but I do wanna see my daughter."
"Summers and holidays?"
"I can work with that," I nodded. "But how about you and Eva come down for every other holiday?"
"How so?"
"If I get Thanksgiving, you'll get Christmas. The year after that, we can do it at your place."
"TK, if we go through with this divorce, I'm not staying in Austin. I am moving back to Chicago."
"What about Eva?"
"She'll stay here with you until the end of summer," CJ looked at me. "It'll be multiple facetime calls and phone calls. I can come down to delebrate her birthday before taking her to Chicago with me."
"Оkау," I nodded. Eva walked downstairs. "Eva, Mommy and Daddy have to talk to you." We sat her on the couch and we sat on the coffee table in front of her. "Did you put Mr. Smokie in bed?"
"Yes, he's asleep so we have to be quiet," Eva replied.
"Okay, sweetheart," CJ stated. "Uhm, so you know how Mommy and Daddy seemed to be in a weird mood with each other?" Eva nodded. "Well, Mommy is going to take some time and move to Chicago. I'll be gone for a few months, but I'll be back and you can go with me then."
"Will I be able so see you?" Eva asked.
"Yes, I will call and facetime everyday," CJ nodded.
"When will I see Daddy if I move with you?" Eva asked.
"You can come see me during the summer and during the holidays," I stated.
"Sweetheart, I want you to know this isn't anything you've done, and we're really sorry it happened. It's just sometimes these things happen with mommies and daddies," I stated. CJ let a tear slip and I wiped it away. "Because of this, Mommy and I have decided to get a divorce."
"What's a divorce?" Eva asked.
"Divorce means Mommy and Daddy won't live together anymore, but we'll always be your parents, and we'll always love you," CJ nodded. "But Mommy and Daddy won't be doing a lot of things together, unless you want us to, during the holidays."
"Where will I sleep?" Eva asked.
"You'll still live here with me in our house," I nodded. "At Mommy's house, you'll have your own special room."
"Okay," Eva whispered.
"Mommy will come back just for you," CJ replied. She gave her a hug and kiss. "Daddy will be up to tuck you in bed."
"Okay," Eva went to her room.
"TK, I'm going to be gone by morning," CJ stated. "I have to find an apartment or a house, a new job."
