Crockett's POV

It was our last day and we were getting ready to leave the hotel. CJ has disappeared for a little bit. "CJ?" I called out. "We gotta go." I got no answer from her. I walked into the bedroom looking for her. She wasn't there. I looked in the bathroom and she was basically hugging the toilet. "CJ." I went over to her. She was throwing up. I held her hair back and rubbed her back. "Hey, what are your symptoms?"

"I don't know," CJ stated, as she relaxed. "It just hit me out of nowhere." She sat down. "I think I'll be okay."

"Are you sure? If you need time, I can call and get us on a different flight," I nodded.

"No, I'll be fine," CJ stated. I helped her up. "Thank you. Let's go get Eva." We got into the car and I drove us to TK's. "Can you get her? I'm going to check the luggage and see if I have anything for my headache."

"Yeah," I nodded. I got out of the car and went to knock on the door. The door opened. "Hey, TK. I'm here to get Eva. CJ's looking for her medication to take for her headache."

"Does she want a Tylenol?" TK asked.

"I got it," CJ walked up to us.

"Mommy!" Eva ran towards us.

"Hi, baby," CJ smiled as she picked up Eva. "How was it with Daddy?"

"I had fun," Eva replied.

"I'll see you for Christmas, okay?" TK replied. Eva nodded. "Bye, baby."

"Let's get you in the car," CJ stated as she walked away with Eva. "Into the carseat."

"Crockett," TK stated as CJ was out of earshot. "Take care of my girls, okay?"

"Your girls?" I asked. "Eva is your daughter, but CJ is no longer your wife."

"I still care about her," TK replied.

"Then why did you divorce her?" I asked.

"Because she was still hung up on her ex."

"That's the only reason?"

"If it was something that involved mim, she always asked how high she should jump."

"I'll let you believe what you want to believe," I nodded. I got back in the car. "You ready?"

"Yeah," CJ smiled. I started driving. "Is everything okay?"

"He kept mentioning your ex, but he never gave a name," I stated. "Said that your ex pulled you guys apart. Who is the guy?"

"You worked with Will for a while, right?" CJ asked.

"You did not," I replied.

"Oh, it wasn't the doctor," CJ nodded. "It was the detective."

"Jay?" I asked.

"Yeah, and he was also my first husband. I promise you that he and I are only friends," CJ explained. "He's only in my life as a friend and nothing more."

"I believe you," I nodded. Once we got back to Chicago, I dropped CJ and Eva off and went to work. I walked into Med and Maggie handed me the iPad. "What do we have here?"

"Laceration to the forehead, Dr. Marcel," Maggie replied. "In treatment 2."

"Thank you," I replied. I got done stitching the cut and went behind the nurses station. "Maggie, I can feel burning holes in the back of my skull. Do you have a question for me?"

"How was the date with Halstead?" Maggie asked.

"I never knew she used to be a Halstead," I replied. "No one thought to tell me?"
