Chap 15 (Thoughts)

CJ's POV

I left Bolivia when it was time for us to leave. Once in Austin, I went home and walked through the front door of our home. "I'm home," I stated.

"CJ," TK walked up to me and gave me a hug. "Did everything go okay?"

"Yeah," I nodded. "Uhm, where's Eva?"

"She's at Tommy's," TK replied. "She wanted to have a sleep over with Tommy's girls."

"Oh, okay," I nodded. "Uhm, did you get Eva registered for school yesterday?"

"Yes, babe," TK stated. "Everything for Eva is taking care of. Today is just for you and me."

"Good, because I can use a little us time," I sighed. TK and I spent the whole day together before we had to get Eva that night. 4 and a half months passed by. TK and I were checking our list, making sure we have everything. "Is this everything we need?"

"We triple checked," TK nodded. "Just not sure why we have to go to Seattle for Christmas. Why can't we just have our own Christmas?"

"Come on, TK. Will is basically family to me," I replied. "He invited us since last month, and I checked with you, and you said it was fine. That's why we're going to Seattle." I grabbed my purse. "How far out is Dad?"

"About 15," TK replied.

"Eva, Grandpa's gonna be here soon," I caught up the stairs. "You only need one stuffy."

"I can't choose between Coco or Smokie," Eva replied.

"Take Smokie," I stated. "Come on. Our flight leaves in 2 and a half hours." Owen picked us up and got us to the airport. We boarded our flight to Seattle. Once we arrived, we grabbed our luggage. "Okay." TK was holding Eva as I had mine and her luggage. I saw Will. "Hey." I walked over to him and gave him a hug. "Where's Nat?"

"She's cooking a meal at home with Owen," Will replied. "Let me take that for you."

"Thanks," I replied. "Will, this is TK, my husband, and our daughter, Evangeline Rosetta Strand. We call her Eva." I looked at va. "Say hi to your Uncle Will."

"Hi," Eva whispered.

"She's shy around new people," TK stated.

"That's alright," Will stated. "We got all week."

"Did you get us a rental?" I asked.

"Yes, and it'll be avaliable for pick up tomorrow," Will nodded. We got into Will's car and he drove us to his place. "Welcome to The Halsteads."

"Halstead?" TK asked.

"Yeah," Will replied, as we got out.

"Any relation to Jay?" TK asked.

"They're brothers," I stated.

"If you guys wanna go inside, I got this," Will nodded. "Just go straight and you'll be in the kitchen." TK and Eva went inside. "Is he not found of my last name?"

"Our last name and not really," I sighed.

"Have you talked to Jay?" Will asked.

"Not since I extracted his team a few months ago," I stated. Will got the luggage out of the car. "He told me he still loves me, Will."

"Well, you're not really an easy woman to get over, " Will replied.

"Please don't tell me you're still in love with me too," I stated.

"No, ma'am," Will smiled. "I love you as a sister, but you and Jay have lots of history." I sighed. "Any chance of working it out?"

"He asked me to leave TK, if I wanted him to come back from Bolivia. Meaning I'll leave TK and go back to Chicago. I can't do that to TK, or my family," I replied. We walked inside. Owen walked up to mre and gave me a hug. "Hey, Owen."
