Bad crash pt.2

Ahri froze at the door before pushing it open carefully. The nurse had showed them the room then quickly scurried away to help another doctor, so they were alone by the door. Akali was right beside her, the rappers steady precense calming Ahri slightly. As the group shuffled in the morning rays of sunlight reached into the room. Akali took a seat at a chair beside the diva, grabbing her hand softly as Ahri joined her. Kai'sa sat down on the couch a few feet away, watching Evelynn carefully.

Remembering what the nurse said about Evelynn being able to hear them Ahri started. "Hey Eve.. you really had us worried.. thank you for trying to keep us safe.. though it could've costed you.." "you should've seen Akali's face when she walked in... she was as pale as a sheet, eyes blow wide." Akali glared playfully at Kai'sa before sticking her tounge out at her girlfriend, which prompted Kai'sa to do the same. Ahri rolled her eyes but smiled at the two, shaking her head.

"I swear these two numbskulls will be the death of us..." Ahri said to the complaint of the other two. "Excuse me missy! I will say that we are both quite mature!" Akali said shovin Ahri playfully. "Yea!" "Says the one who literally just stuck out her tounge." "It is very mature thing to do!" "Akali you are a child I swear!" "Whatever, I am mature!" "Am not!" "Are too!"

Ahri shook her head as Kai'sa and Akali got into yet another argument before turning her attention to Evelynn. She was wrapped up in bandages, though looked peaceful. "Please get better soon love, we miss you, though it's only been a day." A soft mumble was her answer, and though the other two didn't seem to notice, Ahri watched as evelynn slowly woke up.

Her face twitched as her eyes opened slowly and took note of the room. When she saw Akali and Ahri beside her she gave a small smile, though it dropped when she couldn't find Kai'sa. Akali was looking towards her right seeming in the middle of a conversation, or argument based on the yells earlier, so when she turned her face relaxed. Kai'sa was sitting there full attention to the rapper and thpugh her face and arms were bruised and scratched she seemed fine. Same with Ahri who evelynn just realized was looking directly at her.

She directed a small smile and Ahri physically relaxed. Leaning over she gently hugged Evelyn finally getting the attention of the two youngest. "Wha- Eve! You're awake!" Akali shot up and hugged Evelyn when Ahri let go, and when she backed up Eve could see slight tears. Before she could comment, Kai'sa grabbed her hand and smiled when she turned to look at her. "We were so worried.. you weren't responding and there was so much blood.." Ahri said softly, grabbing eves other hand as Akali went to flag down a nurse. "I'm alright though.. are you two okay?" Ahri laughed softly and nodded. "We are both fine, just alittle scratches and bruises.. you worried us the most though" kaisai said softly, just as a nurse came in. "Ah Evelynn your awake! How are you feeling? Any pain, nausea?" Evelynn shook her head. "No im alright, i dont feel any pain." "Good, that means the meds are working, we'd like to keep you for one more day, just to make sure you're fully alright before we send you home. You won't be able to do any vigiours activities for awhile but you should be fine after a few weeks or so." Evelynn nodded and the nurse did one final check before bidding them a good day and leaving.

The rest of the day was spent with the girls laughing and joking, using all the time they could to stay with Evelynn. When visitation hours were over one of them was granted to spend the night, and Akali and Kai'sa immediately volunteered the leader. "Stay with your girlfriend Ahri, it'll be good for you. Goodnight Evelynn we will see you tomorrow!" With that both the youngest members were gone, leaving Ahri and Evelynn in the room.

"How are you really feeling love?" Evelynn suddenly question seemed to startle Ahri out of her thoughts and she turned to look at her. "H-huh..? Sorry.." Evelynn chuckled before repeating her question. Ahri took a long time to respond, trying to think on how she really was. "Releif that your okay. You were so still and there was so much blood, we thought you.. " when it was clear Ahri wasn't about to continue, Evelynn stepped in. "But I didn't love, did you forget I'm literally a demon, a simple car crash won't do nothing to hurt me."

"You're still in human form though. You still bleed and you can still die, and though I'm thankful that you tried to spare us from getting hurt.. that could've gotten YOU killed! Do you know how bad that would hurt us?! Hurt me..." Evelynn frowned and looked over the slumped form of the leader. No more was the posed posture, the leader of their little band of misfits, instead she saw Ahri, the woman who lost far to much, who's past doings still haunt her to this day, she didn't see the leader Ahri wants everyone to see, no Evelynn saw the broken, scared woman Ahri truly was, that only the members of K/DA had the privilege to see. She slowly sat up, leaning against the beds backboard and opened her arms in an invitation of a hug.

Ahri look startled but quickly hugged her from the side, burrowing her head into her shoulder and soon Evelynn could feel wetness forming there. Quiet sniffles by her ear let her know that the leader was crying, so without thinking she lifted Ahri up and placed her on her lap, flinching slightly at the pain, but before Ahri could get off, held her close. "It's okay love.. I'd never leave your side. I promise..." she slowly rocked them until the quiet sniffles were gone, and the wet spot on her shoulder didn't grow, though a soft pressure there told her that the leader fell asleep. Chuckling softly Evelynn gently moved her to lay agaisnt her stomach and chest and pressed a kiss to her forehead and whispered before following her lover into the land of sleep.

"I promise I won't leave your side. Not in this life not ever."
