A day in Rome

Akali was sitting at the gate, everyone's bags strewn against her legs so she could keep a eye on them. Kai'sa and Eveylnn were doing something at a nearby store, trying to waste time, while Ahri was in the bathroom, probably reapplying her 50th lipstick, or renewing her eyeliner for the 10th time, Akali didn't know. Akali groaned softly as her head throbbed and leaned her head back against the chair back and slumping against it. She had woken up with what seemed to be a head cold, with body pains, cloudy head, and sniffling. What made it worse is that Akali's mom had started blowing up her phone trying to get Akali back and overall being a ass. It had started before they had left and the stress was pilling up on the rouge. Ahri had tried to reschedule but Akali was against it, knowing that it was always a pain to reschedule these shoots. Akali was irritable though and though she tried to cover it, she knew her band members were catching on.

"You okay honey?" The sound of footsteps and the familiar voice of Ahri had her opening her eyes and squinting. The Leader was standing before her, holding out a water bottle with a soft smile. Akali took it with a smile of her own, and opens the bottle to take a few sips. "It's not getting any better, though it's not any worse love." Ahri gave a flinch of sympathy before settling against the chair next to the rouge and gently taking her other hand and rubbing her thumb against the back of Akali's hand to reassure the Rouge. Akali smiled softly apperactive of the leaders attempts. She closed her eyes allowing the bustle of the airport to lure her to sleep.

The talking of her girls is what Akali heard as she slowly woke back up. Her head was clearer and as she sat back up she gained the attention of her other three bandmates. "Feeling better Akali?" She simply nodded, though she could still feel her phone buzzing with messages from her mother. She pulled her hand away from the touch with a sigh, her face already pulling into the normal scowl the girls were used to. Pulling out her phone she ignored the other threes talking to scroll through her phone and through the messages, stopping at the bottom where one message stood out. "Your a waste of time, And one day those girls are going to see that, and dump you. Then where will you be Akali? no purpose." It was nothing Akali didn't hear before, but she was already stressed and not feeling great, It was the snapping point. She could feel tears welling in her eyes as she stood up abruptly, muttering a vague excuse before walking off, much to the confusion of her girls.

She hastily kept swiping at her eyes, trying to get rid of the tears before they fell pulling the bill of her hat lower and mask up higher to fully cover her eyes from anyone trying to see. she couldn't hear the click clacks of high heels following her until she reached outside, where the smell of gas and cars obnoxiously honking brought her mind back. Akali leaned against the wall with a soft sigh, still wiping tears as they came, though the familiar sound of Evelynn's expensive heels had her looking up. the Diva was out of breath, panting softly as she stood in front of the rapper, though concern clear in her gaze. Before Eveylnn could even open her mouth, Akali snapped first. "Why did you come after me?" The rapper could see surprise take over the concern, and shoved down her emotions to deal with the succumbs. "We are worried Akali, you've been snappy and cold all morning. I know you woke up sick, and travelling sucks when you are, but this is something else isn't it?" The rapper could feel the golden glare from eve and ducked her head slightly. "It's nothing Eveylnn, just drop it please." "No. because your acting off and it will only get worse if you dont talk about it now." "Eveylnn drop it. its fine. Nothing is going on." "Akali Tehti. we both know that is not true. Now please tell me whats going on." Akali shook her head, making her headache worse at the sudden movement. She knew it was only Eveylnn but at that moment she could see clearly behind the succubus, standing with her usual disappointed frown was Mayyam Tethi. "Shut up, Akali." "I didn't raise a weakling." "You dont get to express your weakness when you dont earn it Akali." When she noticed both figures reaching towards her, Akali felt her heart skip a beat, and she hurriedly turned, pushing away from the wall and running into the crowds and away from Eveylnn, who was standing in shock, watching the rapper get swallowed up by the crowd.
