Toxic Dinner

Akali was writing lyrics when she got the call. Ahri, Evelynn and Kai'sa had gone out to shop, for what Akali didn't know, and she decided to just stay home and relax. Her phone was right beside her and playing music when the Rington rang out, startling Aklai. Not checking the Caller id she just pressed answer, thinking it was the girls wanting her opinion. It was prove wrong when her mother's condescending tone cut through the air.

"Akali. I taught you better than to stay quiet. Have anything to say to your mother?" Akali gulped softly, already scared on where the conversation would go, but quickly scrambled to answer. "H-hi mother... what can I do for you?" She cursed quietly at the stutter, and her mother's lack of talking confirmed that she heard it too. "Now now, is that anyway to talk to your mother? I taught you better than to stutter like a baby." "Sorry mother.. is there something you need?" "Yes. You and your.... Group... are invited to dinner. Make sure they all dress appropriately and come on time." Akali cursed, already expecting what the dinner would be like. "Yes mother.. I'll let them know." All she heard was her mother's huff before the end tone sounded.

She paced anxiously in her room, glancing at the clock every two seconds. She was counting down the hours until the girls got home, and the time they were required to go. Finally stoping her pacing she grabs her phone and clicks on Kai'sa number with shaky hands, already worried that they would get mad. "Hello? Akali you okay?" She froze at the questions, and hearing that her voice was soft started crying softly. "He-hey Kai'sa.. u-um.. I'm okay but w-we have plans?" She waited with baited breaths as she could hear Ahri and Kai'sa discussing somethings. "What plans did you make Akali? And what time do we need to get home?" "N-now? An-and dinner?" After a few more minutes of quiet talking between Kai'sa and Ahri again, Kai'sa came back. "Alright hon, we are on our way back now okay?" "Ok-okay.." Kai'sa softly said goodbye and let Akali end the call.

Akali made her way downstairs and sat on the couch turning on a show to watch as she waited for the girls. The sounds of the grave door opening alerted her that they were home. She met them at the grage door, where she pulled her into a hug. "Alright, what's this about Akali? Why the sudden dinner?" Akali hid her face in the leaders shoulder, already nervous about their reactions. "M-my mom contacted me... told m-me that she wanted us for dinner.. and it's not up for debate.." she could feel Ahris arms tighten around her and she flinched.

"Okay.. what time is the dinner Akali?" "Do-dinners always at 6.. " Evelynn cursed softly, checking the time and seeing it was already 3. "Alright everyone get ready, we will indulge her this one time but Akali you seriously need to block her number honey." "I know.. and I will after this." Kai'sa nods and brings the rapper into a hug before she went upstairs to change. Akali watched them go upstairs to change and heads to the couch waiting anxiously. Kai'sa was the first one to finish, joining the rapper on the couch and gently rubbing her back as they waited for Ahri and Eveylnn. 

after a few hours they were on the road heading to the dojo. eveylnn and Ahri were talking softly upfront, trying to tell each other to be civial and not kill Akalis abusize mother. Kai'sa was in the back showing her support by keeping a hand on the rappers thigh. "we will be fine akali i prmosie." "i-i know.. im just worried on what she would say." Kai'sa just nodded softly, knowing that if what Akali said was true then they were in for a long night. as they slowed at the gate, it was slowly opened enough to let the car in. once they parked all 4 members of K/DA excited the car and looked around the dojo Akali grew up in. the mutiple builds around held a nautrual japanesse arctuctre with one big building in the middle. Akali immidelty took the lead, her head held high, sholders back like she was taught, it autmatic for her to do if she was heading to the main hall. she held the doors open for the other members, smiling softly at a worried Kai'sa to say she was okay. "Ah, Akali you and your....friends are here." "they are my bandmates mother, you will adress them as such." Akali said quicly, feeling protective over the girls, though one pericing glare from her mother had her shrinking back slightly, though not backing down. 

"Akali. i taught you better than to talk back. now... dinner should be ready if you and your 'friends' follow me." Akali glared at her mother but followed behind her. the girls followed and sat down around the table, Kai'sa on oneside and Ahri on the other, with Maaym was right across. throughout dinner the girls got more and more agitated at the critizism from Maaym towards Akali and the group. the last straw was during the desert maaym made a harsh remark towards akali. eveylln was the first to react, shooting to her feet and glaring at Mayym harshly. "you dont get to talk to Akali that way. you are lucky she even indulged you with this dinner rght now." Mayym stood up glaring at the Diva, getting both Ahri and Akali to stand up next. "You dont get to say what i can and cant do DEMON!" "dont you dare talk to my girlfriend like that!" akali said glaring at her mother. "leave them out of this, they have nothing to do with this. YOU called ME and wanted us to come here to eat. Say all you want about me, but if you talk any more crap about the group or my girls, i will bring hell to you." 

silcnec followed the statement, Akali standing protectivly beside Evelynn and Ahri, keeping a close eye on her mother. after a moment finally Maaym waved her away. "whatever. youll be crawling back as soon as they no longer need you." seeing the dissmisal as it was Akali hered the two angry members out of the building, chuckling softly at the growls from both. "please dont.. its not worth it guys.." Evelynn finally just snarled and pushed away her demon and turned to focus on akali. As Kai'sa started calming down Ahri, Eveylnn brought Akali into a gentle hug. "your so strong.. having to deal with that, and not hurting her." akali only nodded and hugged back, knowing the girls always have her back.
