" Hey" She said In a sweet tone. " Hi. I'm Marissa" I introduced. " Nice to meet you. I'm Savannah." She said. Even her name is pretty. " You have a pretty name" I complemented. " Thanks! I love yours too!" She exclaimed. I knew she was trying to be nice though. The teacher went up to the board and started teaching. We were just working on homework in class but, Savannah was talking. I couldn't help but, listen to her conversation. She was talking to the girl in the seat next to hers. " There is a huge party for any popular 9th graders. Its Wednesday night at Troy's place. No adults are allowed so, there will be a lot of couples." Savannah was explaining to the girl. " I know. I'm going with my boyfriend. I take it you will go with Austin?" The girl asked. I felt myself gulp before, listening to Savannah's answer. " Of course! He's my boyfriend. its our 4 month anniversary" She chirped. I think that was too much information to take in. I expected them to go to the party together but, them dating? Then, I expected them dating but, 4 months? I felt my heart shatter in a billion pieces. I felt my eyes stink with tears. I was so vulnerable! I need to stop letting this bring me down. He was gonna ruin my Italy performance. Crap! I have to hang out with him for a week. I have to see him in school. Things aren't ever gonna be the same. I need to get invited too this party! Check on things and it will be fun. Lauryn was wrong! Her words played back in my mind. " Just give him a chance" I heard over and over.
