Unexpected Love

Chapter 20:

* 1 hour before the party*

I took a shower and brushed my hair when I was finished. I went and put my dress on with the necklace. I blowdried my hair and aplied little make up. I let my blonde shoulder length hair hang to my shoulders. I put a green flower clip in my hair. All I did for make up was lip stick, a little blush, and some eye stuff. I slipped my heels on. The heals were only an inch. I decided not to go to dinner with Lauryn since, Its a bunch of couples and stuff. I texted Bailey saying I'm coming over. I walked to her house. She looked like a model! Her make up was amazing! The dress fit her perfectly. " Dang!" was all I could say to describe her. " You like?" She asked. " No" I said. She pouted and threw her arms up in the air. " I love it!" I replied. She sighed and smiled. " Thanks!" She said. " Carter will have his mouth hung open. He won't be able to take his eyes off you!" I gushed. She blushed and giggled. " You look pretty hot yourself" Bailey said. " For me yes. I'm not good at this stuff" I admited. We both laughed and started walking. " It should only take a few minutes to get to the party. it's at Kyle's house now" I explained. We got to Kyle's house right on time. I rang the doorbell and we walked in. It was like any other party. Food, loud music, dancing, couples, and dimed lights. It looked like the prom at school. The first person I saw was Savannah and Austin dancing. I turned to find Lauryn and Kyle sharing a kiss. I started walking getting lost in the crowd. I saw Josh and walked over to him. " Hey Josh" I quitely said. " Hey. You look pretty" Josh gushed. " Thanks." I blushed before saying. " Will you care to dance with me?" Josh asked. " I would love to dance with you" I answered. He grabbed my hand and we walked into the crowd. We started dancing right near Austin. I saw him look at me. He smiled and stopped dancing with Savannah. He came over to me. " Hey Marissa""Austin said. " Hi Austin" I replied. Savannah looked annoyed coming next to Austin. " You look nice. Have fun" Austin said. He winked and walked away. " I'm thirsty. I will be right back" I told Josh. He nodded and I walked to the punch table. Bailey was there as well. I came next to her but, I finger tapped my shoulder. " Hello. Marisa. You better back off" Savannah angrily stated. I gasped and fell backward. Bailey pushed me back to a standing position. " You can't tell me what to do. Austin is all yours. I don't want him anyway" I argued. " He certainly is attracted to you. So, you say one word to him and I will plot revenge. I know you like Josh" Savannah spat. She quickly walked away. I grabbed a cup of bunch and chugged it down. " I was worried about you" Josh said before tugging me back to dance. A slow song came on and I passed Austin as I was dancing. He smiled and I smiled back. " I need to tell you something" Josh worriedly said. " What? " I asked him. " I'm moving to California. Next week" He murmured. I wanted to do this before I left. He leaned in to kiss me on the lips. I pushed him away before, he came close to me. He stumbled back with surprisment. I pushed through the crowd to go to the punch table. I feel like one of those people who drinks because they are depressed. except it happens to be punch. Savannah was already there. " You smiled at him" She stated. " You said I can't talk to him" I snapped. Maybe it was because I was mad or maybe because of the whole Josh thing but, what I did next was a bad idea.
