Flickering waves
Hazy light through the trees
Forgotten to be turned on
And they just leave it off
Hope for a reunion
And warning you to stay away
How many nights do we have left
Until the lights burn out
Have you seen us
Opened the door to
Jump into each other's embrace then
Slammed the door
And watched him cry on the steps
Or welcome a new friend
And talk to them on the bench
Perfect illumination
Turning the dark into dim
This light is so radiant
It makes me feel so brilliant
Erratic
Sporadic
Memories made by them
Getting caught by our parents
Welcome home
Have you seen us
Slammed the door then
Watching him cry on the steps
Opened the door
Jumping into their embrace
