I do not own any artwork that may or may not be used in this story, nor do I own any characters.

Since there is a prologue, you will get two chapters today.

MIDORIYA'S POV

Ten years ago

"Akari," I said, holding out our crying newborn. "Look at how absolutely beautiful she is."

Her pale blue eyes locked on mine as she smiled. "She looks like you," she said.

She was half right. She had my eyes and beautiful freckles scattered across her pale skin. Her nose and chin came from her mom. Unlike our first daughter, her hair is brown. It was hard to tell whether it would be curly, but it was thicker than her sister's straight hair when she was born.

"Sayuri," she whispered. We'd been debating between a few different names her entire pregnancy. Until we walked into this room, I thought she would name her Mei like she'd been talking about.

"Sayuri Midoriya." I smiled, glancing between my wife and newborn daughter. "It's beautiful."

"Mommy? Daddy?" Aimi said softly as she walked into the room, holding her arms over her chest for comfort. We asked the nurse to escort her to the daycare during delivery.

"Hey, baby," Akari said softly, weakly motioning for her to walk over to us. "Come meet your baby sister." Aimi smiled as she gently walked over to us. When she saw the swaddled baby in my arms, her smile widened. "This is Sayuri."

"Can I hold her?" Aimi asked, tucking a strand of green hair behind her ear.

"If you sit on the couch, yes," Akari said, nodding to the couch against the wall.

"Are you sure?" I asked. "You don't want to hold her?"

She shook her head. "I'm exhausted. I think I'll close my eyes for a little while. I haven't gotten good sleep in at least six months." This pregnancy was a lot more rough compared to her first one. She was always sick and couldn't sleep.

"I love you, and I am so proud of you." I carefully leaned over and placed a kiss on her sweaty head. "Do you need anything? Do you want food?"

"I'm starving," she said. "Can you order sushi? I've been craving it forever."

"Of course," I said. "I'll wake you when it's here."

After she nodded, I led Aimi over to the couch and had her sit. I set Sayuri in her arms and showed her how to hold her. "You have to keep her head up and make sure you hold on tight. Not tight enough to squeeze, but tight enough you don't drop her." I wasn't worried about her dropping her, but I wanted her to know how important it is that she's always careful with her.
