BAKUGO'S POV

"Son of a bitch," I groaned as I grabbed the wet blanket from the washer and hung it up to dry.

"Dad," Kyo complained. "Language."

"Sorry," I said. He's the only one who corrects me on my language, not that it matters much. I could fund an entire family vacation within a month if I had a swear jar.

"You'll be back on Wednesday?" Daizen asked, silencing his brothers.

"Yeah. I'm taking Deku to see Aimi, and then we'll grab a bite to eat. I can bring something back for you three before I head to the airport." I dropped them off at Dunce's an hour ago, and this is the second time they've called me.

"Are you bringing Evan back?" Kaoru asked.

I sighed while tossing the sheets into the dryer. I didn't want to start it before we left, but I don't have much of a choice. They're just damp sheets; twenty minutes should be plenty for them to dry.

"I'm going to try, but I can't make any promises. Kyo, Kaoru, I really need you two to work on those vocabulary books, alright?" All three are fluent in Japanese and English, but the twins struggle with specific words that don't come up in everyday conversation. They were young when their mom and I divorced and didn't grow up in a bilingual household nearly as long as Daizen had.

"Will we be in fifth grade still?"

"Yes," I told them. They'll be good to go. Daizen, on the other hand, will not be as easy to enroll in high school. It isn't mandatory, and he doesn't have all the credits he needs to go straight to his last year. He's still sixteen. He skipped the second grade in the States and is a little younger than his classmates.

He may have to repeat his junior year online and then go somewhere for his last year. It's not ideal, but he doesn't have enough credits, and there's nothing I can do about that because of how different the school systems are here and in the States.

"I'll see you when I drop lunch off, alright? I have to go for now. I love you guys."

"We love you too, Dad," they said.

I hung up and shoved the phone into my pocket. Sighing, I closed my eyes and breathed deeply to calm myself. I'm overwhelmed and need everything to slow down for a minute. Unfortunately, it won't. Hopefully, things will calm down after I get the boys in school and get things squared away with their mom. I know I'll probably have Evan, but hopefully, things won't be as hectic.

I shook my head and focused on the task at hand. Right now, I need to get Deku up and dressed. As usual, he's still in bed. "Deku, you were supposed to be ready."

"I am," he grumbled, pulling the blanket closer to his body.

"Go clean up," I told him, ripping the blanket off him. "Shave, brush your teeth, put on decent clothes, do something with your hair, and don't forget your deodorant."

"I'm fine to go like this," he said, motioning to his shorts and stained shirt.

"Deku, get the fuck up and get ready before I do it myself. And I promise, you won't like it if you have to do it." I will literally shove his head under the sink and fix his hair before choking him with his own fucking toothbrush.

He groaned and sat up slowly. "Alright. Give me a little bit," he said. He knew it would take longer if he continued to fight with me. "I need to grab clothes."

"I'll bring you clothes. Go get ready." He didn't fight me anymore before heading to his bathroom and clicking the door shut behind me. I don't have much time, so I have to move quickly. I start by ripping his dresser open, looking for a pair of nice athletic shorts. I want him to be comfy, but I don't want him to look like he's been lying in bed for a week, even if he has been.
