Chapter 20
3x09

Sage was stable. But she felll into an unconscious state for lack of blood. And had a collapsed lung due on the bullet.

Since the grounders didn't have the resources that Skaikru did, she needed someone in the room with her at all times. 1 person to work the breathing machine and another to check her vitals every so often.

The doctors believed if they couldn't find a way to get her into a coma where she would feel calm and recover. They would lose her by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, Lexa had been drowning herself in work. She needed to keep herself distracted. She didn't want to think about the fact that the women she loved might be dying. But no matter what she did, her mind wondered to the fact that, that bullet would have killed her if Sage didn't jump in front of her.

Clarke and Murphy, had been locked in Clarke's room for most of the night. They were let out the next morning. Lexa saw no reason for them to be locked up.

Titus was locked in a cell. Lexa would only let him out if they could find a way to save Sage's life.

Clarke, Murphy, Lexa, and Titus were discussing how Clarke needed to go back to Arkadia.

"She can't." Titus said.

"What do you mean, I can't?" Clarke questioned.

Titus remanded silent.

"Alright, let's get on with this." Lexa walked towards her flamekeeper. "You made a horrible mistake. I am willing to be merciful, if you admit you are sorry for trying to harm Clarke kom Trikru."

"I am sorry for how it ended." Titus apologized. "But I do not feel sorry for my intent. I was fearful that your life was in jeopardy. I acted the only way I knew how."

Lexa turned her back to him. She walked a few steps forwards, before turning back around and stabbed her sword into his throat. He fell onto the ground, dead before he even touched it.

"I give you my promision to go back to Arkadia, Clarke Kom Skaikru." Lexa told her. "But Murphy has to stay here as you temporary replacement as Ambassador."

Clarke looked back at Murphy who had a smile crossing his face. "From Criminal to Ambassador. The ground must like me."

Clarke noticed a drawing.

She grabbed it

She grabbed it. "What is this?"

"It's a drawing of the flame inside my head. I described it to Sage once and she drew that. Which is pretty accurate." Lexa explained.

"Can I take it? I have a feeling, I might need it." Clarke asked. Lexa nodded and Clarke walked out, got on a horse, and rode to Arkadia.

At Arkadia, Octavia and Aaron had kidnapping Bellamy. They brought him to a cave not far from the camp.

Octavia left and Indra came.

Bellamy was trying to convince his keeper to let him out. Which they told him that wasn't gonna happen.

Indra heard a horn. She looked out and saw blue, white, and black smoak coming from the top of the tower at Polis. She instantly knew what that meant. Any grounder would.

"What does it mean?" Aaron asked.

"Something happen to the Skaikru advisor in Polis." Indra explained. "Sage."

Aaron's eyes widened. "No." He shook his head. "Is she dead?"

"I don't know." Indra looked down. "The blue represents the Skaikru clan. The black represents misfortation. And the white is for advisor. The Advisor of the Skaikru clan has had some sort of misfortation. Which typically means injury or death." She started to walk out of the cave.

"And you go running?" Bellamy asked. "Just like Mount Weather, huh? Maybe this time, Octavia will get it." Indra stopped. "Your loyalty will always be with your people."

Indra turned her head. "Octavia is my people."

"Then take these chains off of me, and we can help her together." Bellamy told her.

Indra looked back, hearing the horn continue.

"Go. Make sure Sage is alright. I'll deal with him." Aaron said, making Indra nod and run off.
