A few days after the meeting at the bridge, Anya and Sage assembled a group to go deal with the sky people.
They had guns. The grounders just wanted them to use their ammo. If they were out, they could attack them without getting shot, which was a big bonus.
The grounders had one of their walkies. They got all the info straight from the horses mouth. The Sky people had figured out what they were doing. That's when one of the guys the commander had sent decided they were gonna attack.
Sage, Anya, and Heda's guy were by the river, when they heard an explosion from the sky. Sage looked up and saw something falling. At first she thought it was just another dropship, but then she realized what it really was.
"What is it?" Anya asked her.
"No." She groaned. There were some people Sage wanted to see from the ark, but those 3 did not out weigh the ones who really wanted her dead. She punched a tree and definitely broke a bone, but she was too angry to care. "It's the whole damn ark. They're sending everyone."
"Reinforcements." Anya stated.
"When they get here, they won't find anyone alive." Heda's guy said. "Take down the gate!" He ordered all our people.
Then they heard indistinct shouting. They all recognized that. It was the reapers, also known as their people who had turned into monsters because of Mount Weather.
"Reapers!" He yelled.
Sage looked and saw one of their people also the guy who set up the meeting, Lincoln, with a guy who was at the bridge that day, Finn, leading them to the 100 camp.
The reapers saw them. They stopped in the middle of the river. The grounder men ran at them and attacked.
Sage stayed back and just watched. The reapers were never an issue for her or her people, so she had no idea how to fight them.
Once they had dealt with the reapers, they broke down the wall around Skaikru's camp.
They got into the camp and started attacking the people who Sage once was like. But the grounders were her people now, and Skaikru hurt them, destroyed their village, they deserved way worst then this.
Sage saw a kid who she had been in school with, on the ground, injured. She knelt down in front of him.
"I know you." He said. "You're Sage, right. I was in your grade. We had classes together."
She nodded. "You knew the Eden family right?"
He nodded. "They were pretty shaken up after Mrs Eden's death. But Nova, Cosmo, and Aaron are somewhat okay now. But from what I've heard, they all miss you." He coughed up some blood.
"I'm so sorry it had to be this way." She told him.
"Maybe one day there will be peace between the grounders and us. You'll laugh and say, Noah Walsh called it." He laughed.
"Yu gonplei ste odon, Noah Walsh Kom Skaikru." Sage said in trigadalsleng which was the grounder language.
"What?" Noah asked.
"Your fight is over, Noah Walsh from the Sky People." She told him.
He laughed. "You gone full on grounder, Thorson."
Sage chuckled. "It's their way of letting you move one to the after life. It's their way of letting go."
"So it's their version of, 'In peace, may you leave the shore. In love, may you find the next.'" He coughed up some more bleed, but continued going. "'Safe passa..." He had trouble breathing.
"Safe passage on your travels, until our final journey on the ground." She continued for him.
He closed his eyes. His chest stopped going up and down, he stopped breathing.
"May we met again." Sage wiped away a tear and got up. "Ai op Yu raun chilnes kriken lukot. (See you in peace, old friend.)"
She walked away out into the woods and kept walking until she heard an explosion. It came from the camp. They had rigged the dropship somehow, to blow up the area around it.
Sage's mind went blank. She had no idea what to do. So she ran.
