Lexa was braiding Madi's hair in their tent. She finished it up and Madi got up and grabbed her bag.

"Hey, hold up." Lexa stopped Madi. "Canteen." She handed Madi the metal canteen.

"I'm pretty sure they're gonna have water there." Madi said.

"Take it anyways." Lexa ordered.

"You are such a mom." The brunette 12 year old put the canteen in her bag. "And I'm not a baby anymore."

"I know." Lexa pouted. "You're a moody teen. But I need you and the boys to suck today. Don't stand out in any way. No one can think that one of you would make a good commander, not Gaia, not, especially not Octavia."

"Lex, they understand." Sage walked into the tent with the boys

"Once Echo gets that camera in the sky down, we can go back to the valley." Lexa told all 3 of them.

"Great. Maybe when we fight the war there, I won't have to suck." Madi said in a very sassy way. She gave Lexa a kiss on the cheek then walked over to Sage and the boys and headed off to training with the boys.

"You good?" Sage asked once the boys were gone. She sat down next to Lexa.

"When did she get so moody?" Lexa asked.

"I don't know. About the same time you got soft." Sage punched Lexa playfully on the arm. "So, um, Jackson came to talk to me today."

"Oh."

"He asked if we would like to have a baby with them."

"What'd you say?" Lexa asked.

"I told them exactly what we agreed on. I told them, that I would carry the baby since you couldn't, and that we would figure out a schedule later on." Sage explained.

"So we're really doing this? We're gonna have a baby?" Lexa asked.

Sage put her head on Lexa's shoulder. "It appears so, Commander."

Lexa jokingly pushed Sage, but not enough put make her head move off her shoulder.

Nova was bringing trays to the prisoners when she noticed a familiar blonde in one of the cells.

"Nova?" He asked a little dizzy. He had a giant cut on his forehead and blood dripping from his leg.

"Xavier." She dropped down next to him. "What happened?"

"Octavia ordered for me to get shot and knocked out." Xavier stated.

Xavier had a bandage around the gunshot wound in his leg. But it was old so blood was going through it. It was stitched up too.

Nova took a roll of bandage wrap. "Is it ok if I change that." She gestured to his leg.

"Be my guest."

She knelt in front of him. She took off his old bandage and he winced in pain. "So, I've always wondered, what was the world like before the world ended?"

Xavier chuckled. "Shitty. I was full of shitty people who did shitty things."

"I don't believe that." Nova said focused on the wound.

"You should." He told her. "My mom and I got arrested because we were trying to get our home back."

"What was your home like?" She was just trying to distract him.
