(Nico visits Will at University after months of not seeing each other.)

~Will POV~

I stared out the window of my dorm, wishing I were back at Camp Half-Blood working in the infirmary. At least then I'd be around people I mostly liked.

My roommate screamed in the other room. Ugh...if he gets murdered they'll think it was me. I got up and stepped out of my room.

"Ciao, Tesoro!" Someone, definitely not my roommate, said.

I smiled at Nico and hugged him.

"Neeks! You finally came to visit!" I said.

"You know this freak?! He just appeared out of nowhere!!" My roommate shouted.

I ignored him and pulled Nico into my room.

"You keep photos of me around. You're such a sap, Solace." My boyfriend teased.

"Obviously." I replied. "I need some way to see your face since you wouldn't visit."

"I'm sorry I've been busy keeping the camp in one piece." He rolled his eyes.

He smiled at me then sat on my bed.

"Let's catch up!" He replied.

I chuckled and sat next to him. He looked at me, waiting for me to start. His smile so beautiful, eyes twinkling like stars. I stared at him. He furrowed his brow impatiently.

"What's new with you?" He asked.

I shrugged.

"Studying, tests, blah, blah." I said then decided to mess with him. "New boyfriend."

Nico frowned, shifting uncomfortably

"But...I thought..." He said, sounding absolutely heartbroken.

Hearing his tone shattered my heart. I'm an ass. First time I see him in months and I hurt his feelings. How did I get a boyfriend?

"I'm kidding! I'm joking! I'm messing with you!" I panicked. "I love you! You're my only boyfriend! I promise!"

Nico crossed his arms and glared at me.

"Jerk. That's not funny." He huffed.

"I'm sorry!" I said.

"That dumb joke your way of saying I need to visit more?" He huffed.

I nodded.

"I'll try." He said.

"So you're not gonna kill me?" I asked.

"Not this time." He replied. "But if you ever try that again, right to Tartarus."

"Understood." I said. "Now what's new at camp, Darling?"

He shrugged.

"Infirmary's a mess without you and the Apollo campers miss you." He said. "You have a few new siblings if you wanna come to camp and meet them some time too."

"Now is that your way of telling me to visit?" I asked.

"Maybe..." He mumbled.

"We have a week off next month, I'll come to camp." I told him.

"Really?!" He asked excitedly.

"Mhm! Because you miss me so much." I replied.

"Unlike you, Solace, I'm not a sap." He stated. "I don't miss you at all."

"Okay, tough guy." I replied. "I missed you too."

I traced his face in my mind, trying not to overlook even the smallest feature. His brown eyes, his knitted eyebrow, the constant dark circles under his eyes, the small and almost unnoticeable scars that littered his face, his small nose, his delicate dimps, his pink cheeks, his thin chin, and his soft lips. His lips. Pink and soft, almost always in a frown or a scowl but forming a sweet smile today. A feeling of need welled up in my heart.

I leaned towards him, placing one hand beside him and the other on his cheek. I pressed my lips on his. He didn't protest or push me off. He simply placed his hands on my chest. My heart raced at his touch. I laced my fingers in his hair. His bangs brushed my face gently. The taste of Gatorade and McDonald's was never more welcome than in that moment.

Nico chuckled breathlessly as I pulled away.

"You really did miss me, Solace." He teased.

"Oh, shut up, Di Angelo." I replied, bringing our lips together again.

This time I pushed him down against my bed. He squeaked in surprise but didn't push me away. I pulled back from the kiss. That left Nico staring vaguely up at me.

"Want to go out to dinner?" I asked.

"What?" He asked.

"Dinner? A date?" I blushed. "We haven't had one in months, want to go out on a date tonight?"

He laughed, making me flustered. His laugh was just as I remembered. Deep, rich, and sharp. Just by the sound alone, it's obvious he laughs from the core of his being. He wiped a tear from his eye.

"Will...I love how misleading you are sometimes." He chuckled.

I tilted my head.

"Misleading?" I asked.

"Nevermind." He said. "Of course I'll go to dinner with you, Sunshine."

He pecked my lips.

"And maybe I did miss you a little." He added.

The one arm I used to hold myself up gave out and I clobbered Nico.

"Sorry, Neeks..." I groaned.

He grunted and pushed me off him.

"Ow..." He whined.

"Sorry, Neeks..." I repeated.

"You weren't trying to crush me." He muttered.

I kissed his cheek.

"Did you just use your healing on me?" He asked, clearly not hurt anymore.

"Just a little bit." I answered.

I leaned over and started fluttering my eyelashes, giving him butterfly kisses on his cheek.

"Will!" He laughed. "That tickles!"

I stopped with the butterfly kisses and just smiled at him as he laughed. Very aware of the little velvet box in my dresser, I rubbed my thumb over Nico's left ring finger. Even without him guilting me, I planned on visiting him at camp during my week off next month.

I looked at Nico's hand, intertwining our fingers.
