(High School AU! Will is bored out of his mind at school. Same boring classes, same clubs, same events, same faces. Well, not all the same faces. The new 'girl' catches his attention and his curiosity is peaked.)
~Will POV~
"Ughhh!" I groaned.
I laid my chin on the table.
"Why is everything so boring?" I huffed.
Lou Ellen laughed.
"If you're so bored, why don't you get a girlfriend or a boyfriend?" She said. "A relationship might get you that excitement you've been craving lately."
"No." I whined. "I need a new face. A new person."
"Get. A. Girlfriend. Or. A. Boyfriend." She said. "Go somewhere new, meet someone, stop being a little bitch about your boredom."
"Guess what!" Hazel said, plopping at our table.
She had a huge grin on her face.
"Something good happened?" I asked.
She nodded.
"My brother and sister are moving to town!" She said.
"You have siblings?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Half-brother and half-sister." She said. "I haven't seen them in years! I can't wait!"
Lou Ellen looked at me.
"You said you wanted new people." She said. "There are new people coming."
"When are your siblings coming?" I asked.
"They're starting school in about two weeks." Hazel said. "Their flight lands tomorrow."
She looked at me.
"I think you'll like my brother." She said. "He has two sides to him. Not like he's an ass half the time but nice the other half. No, he's really sweet, just a little different. If you really want someone to shake things up, you'll love him."
What does that mean?
{About A Week Later}
I leaned on the wall outside the school, talking to my dad on the phone.
"I'm not depressed, Dad." I said. "I'm just bored."
"Are you sure? Lack of motivation can be a symptom of depression." Dad said.
"It's not that I have no motivation, I'm just bored." I said. "There's nothing exciting going on."
"Maybe you should see a therapist." He suggested.
"No!" I snapped. "I'm not depressed! I'm bored! That's it!"
I checked the time.
"I have a class to get to." I said. "I'll talk to you later, Dad. Bye."
I hung up the phone. Ugh! He doesn't listen!
I turned to go in the school but a girl ran into me. She stumbled back and I grabbed her arm, catching her before she fell.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
The girl stared at me. Huh? I've never seen this girl before. She's...cute. Pale olive skin, big brown doe eyes, long-ish black hair pulled into a simple high ponytail. She wore a white blouse and a medium-length puffy pink skirt. Her makeup was simple, just a little eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. She'd still have been just as pretty without it though.
