(Time for gay panic, sweet wholesomeness, and the best mother, aside from Sally. Anyway, I'm posting this early in the day because otherwise I'll take a nap and forget.)

{About A Month Later}

~Annabeth POV~

Campers have started heading home for school and to see their families. Percy and I are leaving later tonight.

"I have a question." Nico said. "It might be a weird question."

"Why not ask Will?" I asked.

His cheeks turned red.

"I'm a little embarrassed to ask him." He admitted.

"Fine. What's your question?" I said.

"Did I like guys before?" He asked.

"Yeah." I said. "Do you still like guys?"

"I think so." He admitted. "Not all guys. I think I have a type."

"Am I your type?" Percy asked.

"No." Nico replied, no longer blushing. "Don't get me wrong you're cute but not my type."

Percy swore under his breath.

"Two for two." I laughed. "You're not into guys, Seaweed Brain. Why does it matter so much?"

"It just does." He replied.

"I'm confused." Nico said.

"Ignore him." I said. "Now why are you embarrassed to ask Will if you liked guys before?"

{That Evening}

~Will POV~

I stepped into my office. Fidgeting with something, Nico sat cross-legged on the small couch.

"Hey, Nico." I said, making him jump

He looked up and I realized what he was fidgeting with. A ring. Braided gold and silver with a diamond. My heart nearly leaped out of my chest. I didn't even know he still had it.

"Hi, Will!" He grinned.

"What are you doing in here?" I asked.

He shrugged.

"I wanted to ask why you weren't going to see your mom for the school year." He said.

"Eh, busy." I lied. "Counselor and medic stuff."

He pouted. So cute...

"Don't lie to me." He said.

"I keep forgetting you're a human lie detector now." I chuckled, sitting at my desk. "Someone has to keep an eye on you, who better than me?"

I gave him a smile but he just frowned.

"I don't wanna keep you here. You should go see your mom." He told me.

He's not going to let me stay without a fight, is he? I sighed.

"How about a compromise?" I suggested. "You come with me. You've had training so you can control your powers and my dad put a barrier around my house. Don't ask why he did, it's complicated and I still don't understand. The point is, you'll still be safe."

He looked surprised.

"Would your mom be okay with that?" He asked. "Me coming with you?"

"Oh, yeah. She'd love it if you did." I said. "I'll talk to Mr. D, you go pack. I live in Texas so bring some light clothes."
